Rather underwhelmed on this stay. On the bright side the room was nice and had been fairly recently renovated. Had a very large bed and also nice large soap dispensers. However the bed was uncomfortably hard and woke uo sore. Also the restaurant was filthy. Floor was a sticky mess and even eftpos machine was smutty. Booked after having very good experiences in both wellington rydges hotels. This one fell well short of our expectations though and wouldn't stay again

Absolutely loved our stay in the deluxe twin room. The pool is always great. Kids game room and gym are awesome. Breakfast has great options, dinner is the best in the town! Everything you need at this hotel, you don’t need to really go out!

FREE PARKING IS GREAT but have to come here to check-in or return before sunset or you’ll never find a good spot food options are pretty great heated pool and tubs are great but wish they ran to midnight at least considering hotels are social places, the pool/tubs close too early at 9:30pm :( we found that out too late on the second night so we were sad, had to try in the morning instead. rooms look dated and the bathroom was yellowing, the carpet looked really gross so we wore the slippers the whole time however the beds were very very immaculate and clean, and soft. i am glad for that. some of the beds in new Auckland hotels are awful compared to the ones here at Rydges Rotorua.
