The staff were friendly. Our room was fine but our friends had a room where the air conditioning wasn't working. The staff told them to do a reset but it still didn't work so the room with the sun shining in was like an oven. They contacted the front desk again and were told maintenance had been advised but nothing got done to fix the problem

For a bit more privacy it would have been good to have some fine curtains in place for when the drapes are open as you look straight into the Novotel rooms and they into yours
