Fairfield brand is my go to for work. I’ve stayed at the Fairfield hotels in the area and this one by far needs the most upgrades. It’s quite shabby and worn. I did appreciate the microwave in the room. No fresh fruit of any kind in the breakfast. No mention of my status with the Marriott brand which typically warrants at least a free bottle of water. Very basic, so not a bad property when the price is lower

We had requested a quiet room and was told by the receptionist that our room would be away from the freeway, however, we ended up with a room facing the freeway so I was not able to get a good night sleep due to freeway noises. The shampoo bottle in the bathroom was empty and realized this while in shower. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Just too bad that our room had the traffic noise. We did enjoyed our breakfast. It had a good variety and the breakfast room was kept clean. The lady that worked there was very friendly.

Breakfast was not good at all. Out of lots of options w over an hour of breakfast to go, food that they did have was not hot and no flavor, and the quiche was raw on the inside.

There is restaurant conveniently across the parking lot. The area isn’t the best for traveling alone though there was a was a youth baseball tournament going on and the families were staying there so although it was a little noisy during the day, it didn’t bother me. And I did feel safe.

I had stayed at another Fairfield Inn the previous night so I was able to compare them. The one in Elk Grove looked poorer in comparison. Not quite as clean, not as safe looking area, a little worn, luggage carts need to be replaced or at least recarpeted. Still, the indoor pool was good, and the room was too. I will return because of the indoor pool and hot tub.
