Mattresses and pads disgusting. Clean sheets and pillowcases after I asked. Pillows dark yellow almost brown. Walls have guck all of them are dirty.when we got it at 10 bathroom was filthy urine on toilet hair on bath mat smudges in shower . They made it priority while we were out. Came back nothing cleaned so manager came up and scrubbed. Staff friendly eager to please but it’s not a nice hotel

The property had very limited parking, There was an unexpected deposit required at check in. The room is in severe need of repair, the door lock was broken, bathroom fixtures falling off the wall, bed most uncomfortable i have ever slept in. Lights flickered on and off everytime someone in the room above walked around. And the morning coffee was horrible. In short i will never stay here again and would recomend to everyone to book anywhere else.

This is a review of my 3rd stay. This time got room 113, it was nice and had a basic remodel. Bed was nice. Breakfast is good, the hot food is served to you one plate and filling. I am in town for regular health care and this week was in budget. Hope to stay here again

The property is very outdated on many things. The king bed was comfortable but the bunk bed was horribly squeaky and uncomfortable. The bathroom sink has some crazy strong pressure. All drawers had crumbs and grime in them, shower has hair and dirty hand marks. Parking lot looks a bit sketchy but overall for the price it was a decent stay. The gentleman who check us in was very polite and helpful. Close proximity to some fast food.

After staying at other hotels in Rancho Cordova this time stayed at the Hawthorne. From the outside it did no look like much, but the minute you walk inside you can see things are getting better, yes some things still need repair and updating. This hotel is in the middle of refurbishment and this brings me great hope. The staff could not have been nicer. My room had new flooring , new bed, new couch and updated bathroom. A few nice touches are good wifi, many tv channels, even tea bags not just coffee.. Breakfast is different, it changes every day and they plated it for me, it was tasty. Only Taco Bell and McDs are walkable, drive to Sunrise, or Zinfandel Dr for more food options . I hope to stay here again soon

Amazing stay

The hotel was pretty nice. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. All personnel were helpful and professional. Kitchen plug didn't work and drawer wouldn't open, easy fixes and not anything serious. Cant beat the price for the amenities. Hands down will stay again.

No longer feels safe

I have stayed at this property many times over the years but this time I felt unsafe and the room was a disaster, including a stained mattress, gnawed legs of a chair and a broken lock on the door, which would not lock from the outside unless slammed repeatedly. As a woman by myself, I did not feel safe in the slightest. There were people up partying in several rooms around me and below. I am saddened that this is no longer a viable option of where to stay when I visit family and friends in the area.
