Overall it was a nice hotel with good staff. The room we were in was loud in the morning with doors opening and closing for the food area next door. This had one of us up at 4am. The bathroom was large which was nice.

The location exterior is swarmed nightly by homeless who urinate on the sidewalks, leaving a disgusting odor. The hotel interior has a large central well opening on the hotel bar, such that crow noise projected into my room well after midnight on a work night. The room was cleaned to a level of moderate competency, but a previous guest's hair was left in the bathroom and difficult to clean areas such as behind chairs and under matresses were left in disgusting conditions.

Such a nice hotel with wonderful staff. My room was beautiful and spacious. Front desk staff was so helpful and offered me a very reasonable upgrade, which was well worth it. The bar was great as was the waitress and bartender. All around great experience! I would definitely stay again.

Here's a revised version: "We paid $10 to upgrade to a view of the State Capitol, but when we arrived, the view was obstructed by construction and trees. Additionally, the room was located near a loud air conditioning unit, making it difficult to sleep. I wouldn't recommend upgrading the room until the construction is complete."
