The location is very dangerous plagued by drug addicts and people up to no good. The room had a strong odor coming from the carpets and the overall place looked dated. Poor lighting at night and the bathtub was stained in different areas. Avoid this property.

The lobby and food area was neat and clean. The room I checked into was not cleaned properly. I couldn’t use the bathtub because it looked like something backed up into it. I reported this to the Front Desk. I left out early to do some touring and when I returned in the evening I was locked out of my room. They couldn’t repair the bathtub issue so they changed my room. No one contacted me to tell and therefore had to move my belongings late. I chose this hotel because it was close to everything downtown. Unfortunately the this property did not meet the standards of Howard Johnson or Wyndham. They told me I could get a refund from Expedia for the first night.

We had a pet friendly room. So it definitely smelled like old urine. We had to get keys redone every day as they stopped working. Check in to 45 minutes for a room to be cleaned and another 15 for automatic rekey. But it was a really good location. The bed was comfortable. That's about it

Creepy, Trashy and a lot of homeless people inside the premises. It felt unsafe. Workers barely know what they’re doing. They did not go and clean the room. Only provided 2 towels for my family of 4. Had to go and ask for towels. And there was a day where the cards to open the room weren’t working. And also witnessed the security drinking a beer right by the entrance of the hotel and making out with someone there. Also pictures are false advertisement. the room smelled a lot like cigarettes. I didn’t stay the 3 nights i paid for because how uncomfortable we felt there. The area is not good as well. Sometimes paying a little more is better. Never again staying here.

Was the ABSOLUTE worst place I’ve stayed at. First thing most outlets do not work and the rooms smell. Homeless wandering the nearby streets and facility. Woke up to cockroaches in our room… do yourself the favor and spend the extra money for a nicer and safer hotel this place is not fit for any tourist looking to visit Sacramento.

Room was dirty

The room looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned correctly after previous customers, hair stuck on the floor, used soap bar on sink, pink stuff along edges of tub, the shower sprayed water up towards the ceiling, and it was spraying over the shower curtain onto the toilet & floor, the toilet had a small leak & hair dryer didn’t work. Very bad stay for a Howard Johnson Hotel! I reserved because of the name, and expected a lot more.
