Disclaimer: This review likely not reflective of the property. We were in town for Picnic Day and to visit our daughter. We were given a room right above a gentleman who was very loud and disruptive (amd likely ill). At one point, there were police banging on the door and then the paramedics were there. Given how charming downtown Davis is, I'm guessing this was out of the ordinary. And, for how much we paid, I wish had paid a little more for a nicer place.

The room was dingy, carpet looked stained, and some wallpaper peeling off the wall. There was another guest who sat on a bench below our room smoking cigars, which we could smell in our room, and another who kept his door open all day while he watched TV. Would not choose this property again.

The Vine Inn is a lovely place to stay! The rooms are beautifully decorated, very spacious, and impeccably clean. The shower was fantastic—great water pressure and temperature. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Davis.

Excellent value, clean, great location by UC Davis

Stayed here while we toured UC Davis. It was an easy walk to campus, which was great because we didn’t have to find visitor parking and pay for that. It’s also an easy walk into Downtown, where there are SO MANY restaurants. When I say easy walk, I mean like 2-5 minutes and there you are. Excellent location!! The room was decent, not amazing but definitely clean. The beds were comfortable, the bath towels were very plush, and there was a mini fridge and a coffee station in the room. The complimentary breakfast offered coffee and an assortment of hot teas, juice, milk, yummy muffins, bagels and cream cheese, peanut butter, honey, and a variety of cereals. Super handy to grab a quick bite. Overall, would definitely recommend this place and we would stay here again. I was really pleasantly surprised with this place, especially for the price. It felt completely safe (I’m a petite woman and was there with my teen daughter).
