Our accommodation was not 5 star
We stayed in a self catering apartment which had superb views across the lagoon and to the sea and was operated by the hotel. The reception, bar and gardens were well presented , however, the apartment itself could not be described as 5 star as it was in need of refurbishment. We always assume that 5 star means luxurious, but would suggest that 3 star would be a more suitable classification for the apartment in its current condition. The small kitchen had all the necessary items, cooker, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine but needed a little attention to allow, for example, the fridge door to close without a good push. The bathroom and toilet were dated in appearance. The floor of the whole apartment was tiled, including the terrace and this required completely replacing.
