Very good, except for breakfast

Overall we had a good stay. This was our second stay here in the past few days. However this time the breakfast was not up to standard. This time there was no bacon and no fresh fruit. The garbage cans were overflowing and the counter space was a mess. The young man who should have been attending to things, had his head buried in his phone. I had gone to the breakfast area early to have my morning tea and told him about the garbage then. When I came back later with my wife for breakfast it was even worse. The room, pool and other staff were all good.

Some staff was very attentive and friendly but some neglected guests. We stayed 3 days the room was never cleaned and no towels replaced. Last day I had to ask for towels 2 times we needed to shower to start our day. Breakfast was not like the other Wyndham hotels we stayed before. Eggs was horrible bread was old and I heard someone ask for eggs at 8:45 for eggs (was empty) and the man said there would not be more eggs as there would not be many guests coming. Breakfast ends at 10 am regardless you should have it for your guests. There was no water guests needed to ask to be replaced. The crew that takes care of the breakfast is not very attentive to the guests. Hot tub is old. Will not stay there again.

The premises appear to be recently renovated and are in nice condition. The staff were friendly and attentive. The area is somewhat industrial and in what would appear to be a poorer part of the city, with homeless encampments nearby. That said we had no issues with security at the site but not an area I would go walking in.

Good but room for improvement

The service at the frony desk was great. The buffet style breakfast started at 6:00 perfect! The room was renovated and clean. The only complaint is that the room was quite damp and musty smelling. We tried to adjust the air unit in the room but it did not help. My suitcase ended up smelling musty.

Looks better on pictures - reality disappointed.

Problems to close doors. Perfume didn’t kill smell of mold. At breakfast empty food warmers for 20 min. before staff fill in with new eggs and beacon.

Warm and friendly staff members. Basic but clean, comfortable room. We enjoyed the pool and met some nice locals and other travellers. I found a good book from The Big Bookshelf, thank you. Breakfast was delicious, but I think potatoes of some sort should be offered. The only downside of this place are the doors! They tend to slam shut causing a lot of noise and often startling me.
