Hotel was a little difficult to find at night going through the little one way street. Check-in was fast and friendly. Room was very simple, on the smaller side and clean. Quiet location. Hotel had a retreat going at the same time I stayed.
Simple room but the most comfortable of beds with very luxurious bedding which was just lovely - high quality pillows extremely supportive and comfortable and the duvet was down filled and thick and fluffy. Receptionist very helpful and polite. Quiet place but very convenient just a few minutes off the motorway and ten mins from Martigny.
Absolutely wonderful stay ! Everyone was so very kind and helpful. We were unaware how small the tiwn was and that getting a tqxi would take as long as it does so in the morning when it was time to catch our train we wwre not going to make it with all our heavy liggage walking up the hills to get to the train statiin. The woman at the front desk helped us get a ride from a local woman and i coukdnt have been more grateful for their help. It was a different kind of facility as far as staying in hotels but it was nice and quiet and they went above and beyond with us. I woukd definiteky stay here again !
Consistent accommodation, clean and friendly staff. This is great for walking the Via Francigena. Food was outstanding and staff accommodated dietary requests .
If you are looking for a quiet refuge from busy city and loud traffic, this is a perfect place. I found out this was linked to monastery after checking in. The room was much better than ibis budget at a half of the price. I wouldn't recommend for a family with small kids as it is really quiet atmosphere.
The hotel is clean and simple although the furniture isn’t very new. The parking was a bit too crowded. The location is good but tricky to find without a gps. There is a whole street of cafes nearby. The hotel has an interesting collection of orthodox icons. We stayed for 1 night because did not want to return to Geneva before going back to Valais and it was a good decision.

Hotel Franciscanne
This is not a 3* hotel and not for families with toddlers. The service was strange and the breakfast lady a bit rude as we speak english- noticed this a lot in the french part of Switzerland. Free parking is paid parking. Ok for 1 accidental night. The breakfast was poor and rapid. Good paid coffee. Somewhat against the Swiss quality… sorry but i would not stay here again. Thanks!
Simple but comfortable surroundings made for a relaxing stopover on our walk to Rome. The staff were really helpful and our evening meal, though simple, was tasty and nourishing and a great opportunity to catch up with others who were also passing through the area. Great for pilgrims on Via Francigena.
I have chronic pain and mobility issues. As a result, this wasn't the most comfortable place I've stayed in (hard mattresses, primarily). But if you're young or in excellent health, it's a great value in a wonderful location.
The staff are friendly and the place is great value. They were excellent about making sure there were gluten free options at breakfast, but you do need to ask before or at check in if you need gf food. It offers very basic budget rooms, but it is clean and safe. Its proximity to the spectacular museum at the Abbaye de St-Maurice d'Agaune and the railway station (for day trips) was a plus. It is useful to know that they do not allow you to leave your luggage for awhile after checking out as most hotels do.
