It is so sad how horrible it has fallen. This once pretty great hotel has been completely trashed. Horrible. Absolutely ZERO internet! No towels in the pool area. Crack pipe in the doggie area. No extra lock on the door. No plugs by the bed. Light switch turns off the tv!!

There were two areas for the dogs to run. One at the end of the property that was safe for them to be off leash. Pool and hot tub were nice. We were the only ones using them. There was an issue with GOBS of hair in the bathtub drain preventing water from draining. Really gross.

I booked this room for 3 nights but ended up staying only 2 nights. The room had a musky smell and signs of homemade repairs were evident throughout. Compartments attached to their sink were barely hanging on and fell off when I used the sink. Breakfast was disappointing and just the whole experience left me ready to leave. So I packed up and cut my trip off a day early. I did not ask for a refund for the last night. I just mentally checked off that I would never stay there again.

It's not in the best location, and at first I wondered if I should change hotels. It's right next to Denny's and a few homeless here and there. But I'm glad I stayed. Nothing fancy, but the bed was very comfortable and the whole room was very clean. The shower head was partly broken and barely a sprinkle came out and the water was never hot, only very mildly warm. The staff were excellent and friendly and helpful. I never mentioned the shower head. I stayed in room 211, so you guys might want to look at that. It's a bit noisy being by the highway, but the aircon stopped you hearing some of that noise. Overall I'm glad I stayed. It is a motel, so this is budget accommodation, but I feel like the most important thing to me was a comfortable bed and pillows and very clean place, and that it was. Maybe a little overpriced at $100 a night? But hotels are all overpriced these days. If you are looking for budget accommodation and don't mind motel style, this could be it. The staff were definitely very friendly and helpful and pleasant.

Avoid this hotel at all costs...
This is not a hotel for casual travelers... it is a dumping ground for homeless people. When we arrived at the hotel there were druggies and homeless all around the place. We didn't even stop our car and checked into a nearby Holiday Inn and subsequently requested a refund from Days Inn Black Bear which was refused by Hotels.com and this hotel. There is no mention of this being a homeless shelter on their website... they are just preying on out-of-town travellers like us knowing they can rip us off.
