Not Our Best Stay!
It pains me to leave this review as my wife and I have stayed here numerous times over the years and we have been quite happy with the rooms, the amenities, and the proximity to the various ski resorts in the area.
Unfortunately, our most recent stay was less than stellar. First, the heater/air conditioner "grenaded" on our first night. It didn't sound very good the first time it kicked on shortly after our arrival (a grinding sound on cycle initiation and then a 5-10 second squealing sound upon cycle termination). Then about 4 am on the first night there was what sounded like a bearing seizure or fan blade "explosion". Whatever it was, it was loud and it sounded really bad. We turned off the unit at the room's control panel and alerted front desk staff the next morning. For the next three nights (with a non-functional heater) the room was pretty "brisk" and, unfortunately, we were told there were no other rooms available.
Then there was the "roller derby team" conducting practice in the room above us. This was obviously no fault of the hotel but seriously the rude and inconsiderate behavior (until 2 in the freaking morning) of some hotel guests is mind boggling at times! I know I could have confronted the offending guests, but chose not to have a confrontation that might have ended badly for the other guests.
