2nd time staying here. first time it was good. but this last time.. when we checked in, and got to our room, it had not been cleaned at all. fortunately after a little wait, even though they said they were all booked out, they were able to put us in another room. also, i forgot my hair straightener there, and called that same day when we checked out. they said they found it, but would not be able to send it out until the manager came in to work. it been a week and the manager still has not called me back to be able to send it back to me.

Not good from the first step in the door. They had a small sign notice that pool was closed and I did not notice it til after checking in. They didn’t mention the pool was closed. When I asked if it was gonna be open soon they said possibly tomorrow… we asked for about a possible refund and they said that’s just not possible with no care to customer service, staff didn’t seem nice at all. We went down later to purchase water and drinks and they wouldn’t take cash. We asked for a fork, they only had spoons. The room smelt, the carpeted chairs and couches were disgustingly dirty, hairs on the floor in the bathroom. The rooms need an overall deep deep cleaning. Will never stay there again.

I tried to check in and was told that the hotel was full. The hotel was under construction and they had limited capacity. They over sold their rooms. The front desk ladies were rude and did not offer any help.

Unfortunate

This is twice, we booked a stay because they had a pool/hot tub. And they were unavailable due to construction. Although we appreciate updates and all, it would be lovely if they could let people know prior to booking. There was very little in the store (no drinks at all for 2-3 days). The breakfast was very, very limited. No fresh fruit, no almond or soy milk, no orange juice, etc. We didn’t move to a different hotel because of booking through hotels.com, but we would have if we had booked directly. We will not book here again (and we visit Salt Lake City at least 4times a year).

Hot tub was closed for repairs that Expedia didn’t report. We were looking forward to that after a long day of skiing and that’s why we chose this hotel. Got to our room and had no hot water. 👎 On our way back from dinner and hoping the new room has it!

Disappointing Experience

The pool was under maintenance, which was a huge disappointment since it was one of the main reasons why I decided on it in the first place. Then the cable box in room#: 414 was missing. This Holiday Inn Express never did correct the issue. I informed staff immediately the cable box wasn't there & asked about it on two separate occassions. They offered to change my room, but it wasnt at all what I had already paid for. I didnt want to stay in another room of less value. I should get what I paid for, and decided to stay in the original room minus the luxury of being able to watch tv. I felt like I was short-changed.
