Really clean but needs a facelift
Staff is overall friendly and helpful. Everything was really clean but the hotel definitely needs a facelift. Some peeling corners of wallpaper and appeared to have persistent mold in the caulking of the shower. The cleanliness offset these cosmetic problems. I did get stuck in the elevator for a minute (trying to go down a floor for ice because the one on my floor didn't work) when it seemed to be confused and jerked about a bit. I ended up in the 9th floor instead of the 12th. I wouldn't ride that elevator again during my stay. I would stay again, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

I was excited to book this property. The pictures made it look very inviting. I was definitely disappointed. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. There was black grime, possibly mold, around the base of the tub. It was quote noisy with the construction going all around. Our view was obstructed by multiple other buildings. Traffic was horrible. We went through 4 lights, and were only the 3rd in line, to finally be able to turn into the hotel to be able to park. Then to top it off, we had to pay an additional ten dollars just to park in their parking structure. Needless to say, it was not even close to what we were expecting. We will not be staying in this hotel again.

Room 1217 had no hot water for the shower. The faucet lever was turned to the "red zone". I waited for several minutes with no hot water results. Tried this several times with the same results. The pipes inside the wall were clanging and banging very loudly while waiting for the hot water. Finally gave up. I advised the desk clerk of the problem when I checked out about an hour after.

Undercuts = Lots of hallway noise
Undercuts on doors meant you heard everything in the hallway. Even putting a towel at the bottom of the door didn't help much. It's just an old hotel but a great location. As it has undercuts and is an old hotel, it's not as safe as a more modern hotel in a fire.
