Some five star hotels are worse than two stars, but some two stars are better than four stars. This place is one of those I would coke back again. Excellent location, easy parkkng, clean room, whay else could I ask for. I can see they are refurburshing some rooms and I think mine was recently completed. The lift was a bit tired but overall great value.

There was mold in the shower and bathroom areas. A significant amount. One of the bath towels wasn’t white but had a hint of gray. The best part of the experience was the shower. That shower head had so much pressure it caused the shower curtain to flap around like a duck getting out of the pond.

Not Recommended

I would NOT recommend this motel due to cleanliness. Our room had a horrible odor and simply did not seem clean. The property was run-down in general. There were police in the parking lot “visiting” with other guests when we got up in the morning as well, which gave us a definite feeling of uneasiness. I honestly don’t have any desire to stay there in the future. I will say the rate was good and the location was very convenient , but not worth it for the issues mentioned above.

They were remodeling the rooms and my room smelled like paint and a lot of transient people were heard all night long and going through the trash. The hotel needs more staff to maintain cleanliness.

Upon arrival to check on I was advised that the room deposit needs to be cash. Unacceptable request. I finally was able to use a card like all hotels in this era honor. Definitely would not stay at this property again. Be wary, I should have been more thorough.

Great downtown location. A little run down but they are working on the hotel renovations. Loved the furniture in the room. Firm beds. Very friendly housekeeping staff.

Cheap but you get what you pay for. AC was loud, room wasn’t sound insulated at all either so lots of noise from the neighbors, it was a pretty noisy night. While the hotel was mostly empty we got stuck right by the laundry machines which definitely contributed. The curtains over the window in room 112 were in horrible shape with burns and tears all over them. Very dated, and little has been done to improve it, it just felt dingy.

I would like to be refunded. It was so bad that I didn't ever fully check in as the hotel demanded a $400 cash deposit to stay there after I already paid. I was irritated by this and by how bad the place was. I ended up having to stay at another hotel for double the money.

Expedia and others shouldn't even have this place as an option. The front desk guy was rude, our door lock didn't work, we shoved a chair under the knob for a semse of safety, I still have yet to receive my $100 deposit, drug deals happening in the parking lot, the place is filthy inside and outside,. I highly suggest that you dont stay here. Pay the extra money for another place right around the corner. A 1 star rating is being super generous..

The room was nasty. The floor was disgusting, mold on the ceiling and a hole abobe the shower in the bathroom. Front desk attendant was rude bothb check in and check out. The curtin didnt even keep out any light. Definitely will not be staying there again

Shabby condition

The Metropolitan is in shabby condition. The outside is dirty, and there are often people hanging out in the parking lot or smoking on the balconies. The room was in poor condition, although clean, the curtains were ragged. The sink was chipped. The carpet look dirty and I overall Did not feel that the place was well taken care of.

Stay away

I reserved a Kind mattress, i was given 2 queens, once we got to the room, every other room seemd to be going under renovation. This room was filthy from hair on the bed to dead bugs on the mirror, cockroach all over the bahtroom, we stayed here due to lack of availability on other places. Stay away if possible, this being a open parking lot there were a lot of interesting individuals in thw parking lot.
