A nice place right nearby the railway station. The old city is in a walkable distance. The hanging chair looks fantastic, but it's not very comfortable to sit in.

2 min walk to train station and buses.. 15 mins to salzburg centre.. The shower didnt drain the water. I told them and they were nice and upgraded my room

Comfortable enough stay.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. However the housekeeping needs improvement. The shampoo and shower gel pump were not working and nothing were done to them. I have to inform the front desk who came and checked on it. 👍 the swing in the room is very unique and I hope the cushion could be thicker so that it will more comfortable. Wish there’s a desk in the room, The location is fantastic, less than 5mins to the train station and bus interchange.

Cosy and stylish hotel in a very convenient location next to the main station and short walk or bus ride to most sights. Enjoyed the delicious new years brunch and hanging out in the bar with board games in the evening. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was small but very well equipped.

it costs $50 to have a pet whereas it said nothing when we made a reservation. The stupid auto motion light system kept waking us up all night every time our dog moved.

Amazing hotel if you need to be close to the regional train station, literally 2 min walk. New and very cute place, the service is great, they let us hang out in the lobby even past our check out, as we booked a late train and everything was pretty much closed for Christmas at 1 pm. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful 7 nights at the Cocoon Hotel enjoying the Christmas markets and town centre. The hotel is faultless with attentive staff, comfortable bedrooms, great selection of choice for breakfast and extremely clean everywhere. Very convenient for the airport transfer bus and train station for our trips to Linz, Munich and Innsbruck. Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Salzburg.

Dear fellow travelers , just checked out of the cocoon Hotel in Salzburg All opinions are subjective and this review it’s only my opinion , however I have been traveling for the past 20 years and have stayed in all sorts of lodging Cocoon hotel sits in a non-descriptive building with not much personality It attempts to pass as a “ hipster sort of space “ but really it is more of a high end “ youth hostel” THE GOOD , It is ideally located in a vibrant street across from the train station and within walking distance of eateries and shopping THE BAD , The check in counter is shared by the breakfast counter , thus the space to check in is very limited , if there’s a couple of other guests in front of you checking in , then the process will be eternal The sitting area for the folks on your party to wait until the check is completed it’s taken up by diners therefore there’s really no waiting area My fellow travelers had to stand by the elevators while I finished checking in Getting to beautiful Salzburg is not easy , it’s a long drive if your are coming from anywhere in the west , yet you must fill out 4 pages of information on a tablet before you are handed the room keys … the entire process is very slow Except for Bianca , the folks behind the counter could use some guest relations training , they wore a permanent frown ,were not impolite or rude , but a smile once in a while goes a long way THE UGLY , the towels are rags , not towels , the bed making

Salzburg in December

The hotel was clean and ecofriendly. Easy to get to from the train station and walking to old town was doable. The staff was helpful and breakfast was good. However this is a modern no frills hotel-if you want luxurious you should chose another hotel.
