This was a staycation for my wife’s 50th birthday. The resort is beautiful and well appointed. Highlights were dinner at Sweetfire Friday, relaxing by the pool with cocktails, an amazing dining experience at Signature and Old Fashions at Sire Bar

Noisy with marginal service

Back after many years. It has been refurbished but the service was marginal and the noise was awful. Bedding was not up to par with its alleged “ resort” status. The only good feature was the Signature Restaurant on the grounds.

Beautiful pools and views. The rooms were clean and roomy. I loved walking around the resort . We came for my daughter's 17th birthday and she had a blast. The room walls are thin however we were lucky not a lot of people around us. If you self park just know it is a long walk to the rooms. I would drop off your fellow guest at the vallet. Avoid the breakfast buffet, it is over priced and your basic buffet quality. I was disappointed. I would order off the menu next time. Henrietta's is better. The coffee was amazing and so was the icecream. Primero is tourist quality not great mexican food and the service was almost non existent & the restraunt was empty. If self parking, know it is a long walk to the entrance so I would drop your family & belongings off before parking. Everyone must wear wrist bands so do not cut them off like I did.

We had a fantastic stay at The Cantera Resort! The amenities are truly 10/10 — the resort is beautifully maintained with fully renovated bedrooms that are modern, comfortable, and spotless. The multiple pool options with scenic views were a definite highlight and added so much to the relaxing atmosphere. Everything was excellent overall, except for our experience at the pool bar. Unfortunately, all of our drinks were served warm — including the beer — and while the margaritas were decent, the bar service was lacking. The staff seemed undertrained and not particularly friendly. That said, with a little improvement in the bar service, this place would be perfect. We’d still recommend it for the gorgeous setting and top-notch amenities!
