Was not told about parking till I arrived and they only have valet parking which is 40 a night. Extra charge for early check in, forgot tooth brush and had to go downstairs to purchase a cheap one. Seemed they were all about adding every fee they could. Breakfast was included. Not very good. Last day was very crowded and extremely slow to refill food as it ran out. Rooms are only cleaned when requested at front desk. 3 days with no offer to empty garbage cans, bring more towels, or anything related to room cleaning. Hotel seems to be all about maximum cost with minimum work. I will say staff at front desk was friendly. Not there rules. I would not recommend this hotel nor will I return to any Royal Sonesta hotels.

I loved that you were 3 minutes from the Alamo, 10 minutes walk to the riverwalk. The breakfast was good but the same thing both days I stayed. I did not love that the dog area was across the street and just a patch of grass at the corner then you have to walk the droppings to another street corner. Wasn’t horrible but wasn’t as dog friendly as I expected. The elevator doors close so fast I actually got hit twice by them and bruised pretty badly so be careful during rush hours. Parking is expensive and the valet parking the hotel has takes 20 plus minutes to get your car or drop it off. I did go during a holiday so I’m not sure on other days but holiday weekends coming and going. Don’t be in a rush.

When I got to hotel they have valet parking for $41 a night. Nothing was online about the valet parking. Personnel was not very friendly and they did not change the towels or fix our bed.

The hotel was OK, biggest downer was that the bathtub and sink were slow to drain, even after saying they fixed it for us. It is gross standing in water while you shower. In addition you have to request to have your room cleaned daily.

Staff was not helpful told us the room was ready but we had to wait till 4. We waited then when 4 hit they told us no rooms were available and they did not know when we would get a room. Many problems with check in. Overall, would not recommend.
