By far the best hotel I’ve stayed at. The staff is amazing, and the hospitality is top-notch. The room setup was really impressive—fully equipped kitchenette with a stove, pots and pans, kettle, and plenty of storage. They even had quality products stocked and Netflix ready to go on the TV, which was super easy to set up. I genuinely look forward to staying here again

My room had very little natural light and 24/7 there was noise from extractor fans/air conditioning units from the neighbouring Hilton. I had very little sleep during my stay here.

This hotel was perfect! It is a historic building so, it isn’t as pristine as newer hotels, but it has lots of character. The room was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was amazing. We were less than a block to the Riverwalk and a block to the Alamo. Parking at the Houston Street Garage was cheap and safe.

When we drove up to valet, there was no-one there. So NO valet service even though the hotel offered this. Parking in that area is really challenging. No hot water, moved us to another room but then the shower handle didn't work so you couldn't regulate the temp of the water. Very hard to reach the front desk. They give you a 1800 text number for issues. Dirty dirty dirty. Don't waste your time or money.

Employees here are friendly, especially Crystal and Anayi, they recommended coffee shops, restaurants around hotel and which facilities I can use in the hotel. The only issue makes me feel not good is TV system and lobby gate entrance and room door entrance system, they are too complicated

Nice room but noisy and no deadbolt door lock.

We arrived late in the night due to a delayed flight. The check-in was online and took a little while. Not something you really want to do after a challenging day. Elevators and hallways were aged and not the cleanest. Our room door did not have a deadbolt-only a door ‘latch’. Windows seem to be original. We were provided with a eyemask and earplugs. It was still pretty noisy. The room itself was small but nice. Bathroom was clean and pretty-just no place to put things like make-up or toiletries. It was just too noisy for us. We left early. I can’t recommend to women rooming single when there is no door deadbolt. Maybe it was just our room.

Like others have stated it is noisy, but if like to state, it's not the hotel that is noisy. It's street noise and sounds coming from venues on the Riverwalk. The hotel is comfortable the rooms are nice and a good size. Parking around the place could be better but if you plan accordingly, you can find parking in public garages for about $10 a day. I thought Maverick was a good place and if I'm ever in San Antonio again, I'll stay there again.
