A beautiful building with old building charm. So clean and a very quiet building. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Very central and walkable to all the popular restaurants (a block away from the River Walk).

Great location, awkward parking, loud at night
Really helpful friendly staff. Easy check in prices. Great location for walking and dining. Original windows mean that street noise is a problem at night, especially weekends. So lots. And we were on the 8th floor. If the windows are replaced, it will be much better. Parking is not on site and if you use their valley, hours are limited. Easier to park at a nearby public lot. Cheaper too.

Maverick stay
Our stay at the Maverick was excellent. The room was the right size for two people, although a Murphy bed would have been a nice touch so that you could have a living room. But that isn't that big of a deal. The room was very nice.

This was the absolutely worst two nights of my life. The hotel mattresses were extremely bad (gross dirty) and the background outside noise made it seem like there were not windows what so ever. Have videos but was not able to upload.

First room was disgusting had to ask for a new one. Second room was clean. Toilets like spray leaked when flushed. Unrelated, One floor flooded and shut the AC off for several hours. Room was 80 degrees. The staff was very very sweet and accommodating though.

Ya gotta check this place out!
The location cannot be beat it is 25 steps away from the riverwalk!! Alamo is right around the corner. Jasmine at the front desk was amazing. The apartment was so quaint and the decor was relaxing. Jasmine stated that the property manager is working on sound proofing the windows to cut down on the noise. Biggest draw back is the noise at night when you are trying to sleep. I highly recommend bringing noise canceling ear plugs! Or ask for a unit on the inside away from the street noise if you want to get some sleep! I love this place despite the noise Issues. I will return with an inside unit.

I am so immensely dissatisfied with my stay at the Maverick that I'll go out of my way to warn people not to stay at this overpriced hostel. I literally couldn't fit my review so I'll break it down: - Placemakr canceled my reservation days before arrival with no phone call. I found out the night before we left and had to scramble to rebook. - there is no parking or people to help with bags. If you are permanently disabled like me, or just don't have a lot of physical ability, don't bother. - beds were painful and I couldn't get to sleep till 2am when the outside noise died down - the provided breakfast was non-negotiable coupons at a cafe down the street - room was extremely expensive considering lack of amenities - there is no front desk or hotel staff, just one person with a chair in a hallway. They are forced to fill multiple roles The Maverick, powered by Placemakr, should not be considered. There are plenty of other spots in the area. It is in every sense a pretender, a poser. You can do much, much better, and probably spend less money too.

It was nice! Good location. Everything was walking distance. Bathroom a bit dirty. Didn’t like there was no breakfast included. We just got a voucher to a coffee shop near by. Was good but expected breakfast at the hotel.

cute little apartment type rental.small but had everything you needed and more. great location walking distance from Majestic Theatre.Does not have its own parking area was recommended to use the parking garage on Houston and College Street.A little noisy in the morning lots of truck sounds but not a big deal for me.
