Thing that got me was, the TV in the room didn’t connect to the internet all weekend, place had no area to lounge or watch television. The 2 complimentary drinks we were supposed to have gotten, didn’t happen because there is no bar.

We were in the 6th floor and you could hear everything. People screaming from the riverwalk and every vehicle with loud music. There was no curtains so the sun hit us every morning. Rest was ok.

First off, the staff was amazing!! They did all they could do to make our stay pleasant. We planned to be there 7days but left after 3! The building is in need of upgrades! The room was too noisy at night, where you could here the nightclubs front row noisy from our room 9 floors up. And when the city sprayed down the streets one morning you could smell the odors from below, and construction throughtout the area was ridiculous. If we had KNOW ahead of reserving a room downtown we would have planned differently.

Only problem was My room face the street and there was a lot of noise on the street all night horses the clip-clopping, loud motorcycles and car stereos and the ceiling fan in my room made a loud clicking noise so I had to shut it so I didn't get much sleep

The Maverick - River Walk hotel in San Antonio offers a blend of positives and negatives that make for an interesting stay. On the plus side, this great hotel boasts awesome, quaint rooms that provide a comfortable and stylish base for your visit. The beds are particularly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep - at least in theory. One of the standout features of The Maverick is its fabulous location. Situated in the heart of the riverwalk, the hotel puts you within easy walking distance of several bars, perfect for those looking to enjoy San Antonio's nightlife. However, the experience isn't without its drawbacks. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to pay close attention to your room assignment. Rooms on the east side of the building face an alleyway, which becomes problematic around 3 AM when city dump trucks arrive to collect garbage. The resulting noise can be quite disruptive to your sleep. Another significant issue is the thinness of the walls. In our room, we could hear practically everything happening in the neighboring rooms and hall ways, which can be uncomfortable and further impact sleep quality. Despite these challenges, the overall experience at The Maverick was positive. The comfortable beds, charming room decor, and unbeatable location make it a hotel worth considering.

We stayed 9/13/2024 to 9/15/2024, The two Ladies working in the front desk were very welcoming. I am usually very picky with where I stay but I have nothing bad to say about The Maverick. It’s in a good area and you can walk to any places you need.
