Amazing place, staff is very nice. Lots to do on the property, excursions were easy to book via the front desk. The rooms were outstanding

We stayed in room 20. Awesome view. Close to the office,breakfast and dining room/bar. Because this was low season, not a lot going on. Very quite. We had dinner 2 night with the cheif Sofia. What great meals. We walked into the small town for 3 other dinners. The Managers had very good recommendations. Also very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Nothing about this stay was acceptable. If I could give less than one star, I would. 1. No hot water in the unit. 2. Kitchen was infested with ants and effectively unusable, forcing us to eat out. 3. Curtain rail in the bedroom was held together with duct tape and eventually fell down onto my children. 4.Beds were misrepresented in the listing. It advertised one King and two Queens; in reality, it was one Queen and two Double beds. 5. Only two towels were provided for four people. Management said more would be sent, but they never arrived. 6. Management was completely unresponsive and repeatedly told us to contact Expedia instead of addressing the issues. The listing is highly misleading and should not be allowed on Expedia. I spent days on the phone, chat, and email with Expedia and was refunded only 1 of the 4 nights. I still paid to stay in what was essentially an unsafe and unsanitary unit. I regret not leaving immediately and disputing the charge with my credit card company.

There is only ONE thing that caused 2 separate problems. The staff is not intimately familiar with reading the room numbers on the room keys. Our party of 4 arrived and were directed to a building on the property with two separate room keys. One key did not match any room in the building and the other key matched an OCCUPIED room in an adjacent building. Frustration at the least and a potential security issue. The key issue was eventually resolved…..eventually. Our family finally settled in. At one o’clock in the morning, I was awakened by our sliding glass door opening. It was a drunken group attempting to enter our room. Apparently they also had a key to our room. Fortunately, the group realized they were entering the wrong room. The site appears to hand out keys randomly or has multiple duplicate keys. Aside from that the view is lovely and the swimming pool with swim up bar is awesome. Beware of security issues. Be very aware.

Our stay at Gaia Hotel & Reserve was wonderful, but what truly made it exceptional was the outstanding level of service. From the moment we arrived, we were incredibly impressed by the warmth, professionalism, and genuine attentiveness of the entire staff. You can tell that providing exceptional service is part of the culture of this hotel. Everyone made us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease throughout our stay. A few people especially stood out: Chris at the front desk and concierge was fantastic—always attentive, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Oscar was wonderful from the moment we arrived, helping with our luggage and transporting us around the property with such kindness and a great attitude. The restaurant staff was equally impressive, especially Abraham and Jack, along with the rest of the team, who were consistently warm, helpful, and attentive. The property itself is beautiful, but for us, the people were the true highlight. Exceptional hospitality and a level of service that we will absolutely remember. Thank you to the entire Gaia team for making our stay in Manuel Antonio so special!

Great secluded location and beautiful view .. I love this resort .. everything about it .. I will definetly return here again. Make sure you have a rental car if you want to drive around to explore the area .. this resort is only 13 minutes from La Paz Garden and Water Falls and 1 hr from the airport. You can get taxi or Uber to get here and go around
