There werw so many "surprises" related to my trip to San Diego. It was actually vwry stressful but when it came to the hotel, they made so many accommodations, worked with us so that our Marine could come back for a quick shower, last minute shuttle to get us where we needed to go. Every single staff member I came in cobtact with was so wonderful. If i ever return to Dan Diego. I will stay here over and over again. I couldn't be happier with our experience!

I always enjoy the layout of the grounds. Up on the hill allows us to feel like we are in the countryside and yet just was short decline of stairs and boom! Delivered onto the most festive street full of people enjoying the restaurants and meandering through shops. I would like to return soon.

It was convenient to be able to walk to my hotel . The room smelled musty and bathroom smelled moldy. You can hear the trash trucks really early dumping the trash. It was annoying because you were woken up.

Parking was a little confusing but it’s San Diego and that’s common. Lots of areas to stay and restaurant was very close. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Check in was a poor experience, I checked in for 3 guest and was given a un-cleaned room that only sleeps 2. Had to go back down to lobby and express concern of the room and repeat the guest I’ve checked. As there were multiple guest having similar issues as well during check in.

Staff and service was great. When we got to the room, it did not look clean, although there was a cleaning bottle left on the dresser. The top of the dresser was sticky and the chairs were stained. Also all of the light switches were dirty! The door to the room was very difficult to open. We needed a hotel room for the evening after our flight was canceled. It served the purpose but I did not feel comfortable there.

The pipes were backed up in the building we were placed in. Within 5 minutes of being there we had to go down and request a room change because the smell of human waste was so bad. We were put in another room a few doors down that had the same issue. We were in that room a total od 2 minutes. We were moved another time this time to a different building with fewer windows and a whole farther from everything. We had to take 2 elevators that felt like they were going to breakdown and based on the note the last inspection had expired in March of this year. In addition to those 2 elevators we also had to take 2 flights of stairs. This is a horrible inconvenience when you have luggage. The beauty this hotel portrays is breath taking but it comes very short of that once you stay there.
