My friend and I had a very unsettling experience at this hotel. We arrived around 3:30 a.m. My friend, who was driving, handed the keys to the valet attendant. The valet told us the hotel lot was completely full and that he would have to park the car off-property on a nearby public street (Hancock Street).
The next morning, after we checked out, we discovered that the car had been broken into. The interior was ransacked, belongings were scattered everywhere, and several valuables—including two drones and a cell phone worth about $8,000—were stolen. Even more concerning, the Tesla’s Sentry system had been disabled, suggesting whoever did this knew how to bypass the car’s security features.
It is unacceptable for a hotel valet to park a guest’s car in an unsecured public area without offering safe alternatives. This incident left us extremely disappointed and concerned about the lack of accountability and security measures at this property.
