The room they put me in smelled of cigar smoke, but they were happy to change my room. The reading light over my bed does not work. But the biggest disappointment was they have no breakfast room service. This was a mom and daughter get away and we have a fun tradition of room service breakfast. I called the day before and specifically ask if the hotel had breakfast room service and was told yes. I will never stay at a Hilton again. This is terrible custom service.

Exterior: Building looks ok, a bit dated, but everything surrounding the area was very ghetto, till you crossed over to the other side of the freeway. There were a ton of restaurant/food options nearby. Parking: $37/night, a bit pricey but plenty of spots available and was not super tight like most other hotels in San Diego. The outdoor parking lot on the right side upon entry looked a bit unsafe. I saw several unsavory loiters in the lot. We parked underground and elevator access was convenient. The underground parking felt safer than the ones outside on top. Restaurant: There was one onsite and room service was from 6 AM - 11 PM. We dined at the restaurant for dinner and food was good and convenient. Just don't know how fast service would be if the hotel was sold out. Pool: Small and looked a bit sad. Not much going on there.. Hotel Room: A bit dated. Could be improved, but overall a comfortable stay with enough pillow sturdiness to choose from. Shower pressure and temperature was also on point. TV was old and didn't have any streaming service capabilities. We were given the choice of freeway or the view of the hill. Please pick the freeway. I thought it would be noisy, but the hill view just showed a junkyard. Customer Service: Very rare these days but every single employee I talked to at this property was above and beyond friendly.

I’ve stayed in far worse. The properties obviously old and they’re renovating it, but the walls are thin and shaky. The slamming of doors kept waking me up. The bathroom was kinda clean, kinda not. Staff was wonderful! The parking fee was a shock, but meh!
