It was expensive, didn't know it was 2 star hotel. Staff were nice, but we were hoping to have nice hotel for birthday weekend. But not much luxury and kid was constantly crying loud next room. Wall is thin can hear everything from next room. Double tree next to it is 4 star hotel and price was lower when we talked to them. Next time we will use Double tree hotel. Good for family, but I'm sorry, not for us.

Nice clean room, comfy & with balcony! Good restaurants. Pool and Jacuzzi were closed which was a bit of disappointment, but still had a fabulous stay! Gave one night free parking for birthday which was nice touch as well!

Very nice place with a nostalgic late 50's early 60's vibe. Everthing was comfortable and the staff made you feel welcome. If we find ourselves back in San Diego, we would not hesitate to stay at the Kings Inn again, its so close to everywhere in San Diego you want to be.
