This hotel is a cool and exotic place to stay for one night, chill by the pool, or to just go out with friends on the weekend. Beginners Diner was great, their cherry pie was exceptionally good! We arrived late on a Friday to check in and the whole place was packed and vibing, but it made the check-in experience feel chaotic after a day of travel. I could barely hear the front desk agent due to the amount of people in the lobby. We had to walk through the crowds of people with our bulky suitcases which was challenging. When we arrived to the room it was clean and welcoming. They had nice shampoo / conditioner, the bedding was soft and the bed was comfortable. I had high hopes for our stay. The cleaning crew did not come by our room once during our 4night stay, I had to continuously request fresh towels & I requested a change in bed sheets which was denied even after the 3rd night. On our last day, I had to ask for someone to come remove trash and empty cocktail glasses from the room which were there since day 1. When housekeeping showed up, she just handed me towels and left. Our shower toiletries were empty, and we had three days worth of trash and dirty towels that needed to go. I’m a laid back person, but to me this service was unacceptable. We won’t be back, and I don’t recommend staying for more than one night. We flew from NY to stay here for 4 nights and enjoy SD, but we have never experienced a lack of cleanliness like this at a hotel before !

We had an amazing time. Loved the staff. Food was delicious. Very nice to have a 24 hour option with GOOD food. Drinks at the pool were wonderful. Jazz club was fun but drinks were the same as by the pool but more expensive!! Loved the Gutter game area. Only down side our room wasn’t super clean you could buy a personal vibrater but there were no regular amenities like Q-tips or shower caps. That was frustrating. Also there wasn’t a second mirror out in the room so that was hard with people sharing a bathroom with out any other mirror in the room. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

I didn’t realize that this hotel had two different restaurants, a huge pool, and a bowling alley/pool hall. You literally had everything you needed in the hotel, and the Quixote restaurant was fabulous. That being said, the front desk/concierge could have been a bit more helpful with some things - they wouldn’t give us cash back when paying our bill for the valet, and when I asked about good coffee shops in the area, the concierge just shrugged and told me she didn’t know.

Pool- heavenly Olympic size pool Bars- they have everything. The Bar settings are SO interesting. Great interior design. Great place for a first date The 24 hr coffee shop is excellent The front desk staff is SO welcoming, helpful and responsive The rooms are comfortable, great bed. Dreamy. The best room bar Can’t wait to dine at their new French Bistro! I LOVE the Lafayette! Oh and do attend Lou Lou’s Club!!
