The Lafayette is nightlife masquerading as a hotel. Their priority is clearly their bars, restaurants and pool. Rooms are poorly laid out, smell, and are dimly lit. I arrived late and was just excited to get to sleep. The first room I was assigned had a massive hole in the center of the comforter. The second room I was moved to had a constantly running toilet that wouldn't stop making noise and didn't flush properly. I had 2 nights scheduled at the hotel but left after how disappointed I was with the first night. Despite communicating this to the hotel and Hotels.com immediately (as soon as I realized room 2 was no better than room 1), neither party was able to connect to actually get me a refund.
Stayed for my wedding. They had champagne waiting for us!! Highly recommend. We stayed in a suite with a dang bathtub at the foot of our bed! Beautifully kitschy rooms and a 24 hr diner baby ;)

Stay for the hotel not for the rooms
The hotel itself is amazing!! So unique, fun, and really an experience. The room itself I would give a 3 out of five, especially because of the price. We had two queen beds and the room was very tiny. A veryyyy difficult space for four girls to get ready in due to space, mirrors, & lighting. Also we were celebrating a birthday and I made note of that and we did not walk in to complimentary champagne in the room (if seen others get that for celebrations). My rating for the room is low for a big reason being the price. You’re really getting your moneys worth from the hotel decorations, bars, and experience.
Amazing! The Lafayette is just an iconic fun place to stay.

Lafayette nails it with esthetics and fails at hospitality. They have become a party hotel where the place is packed out by people not staying there which makes it challenging for paying guests to eat at the restaurants or get drinks at the bar. 1am at the diner was an hour wait, most of the staff was rude or dismissive. Super disappointing for the price you pay.

VERY HONEST REVIEW:
1. Safety: the area around the hotel is nice. On busy nights there, you have to show your room key to enter. However, during the day, and slower (normal) nights, no one checked if we stayed there, and you can easily enter the hotel AND go up the stairs to the rooms WITHOUT a room key.
2. Noise: I could hear every single conversation, door close and bathroom use. On Friday and Saturday night, we had people BLASTING music at 12-1:30am. We did alert the front desk concierge via text who responded swiftly stating they would look into it. Unsure if they did, as they continued to blast music. The hotel does provide earplugs
3. Hotel room: we got the larger standard queen bedroom, which was still incredibly small. It also felt less spacious with the bar taking up nearly 1/3 of the room. It looks great and its convenient but would rather pay for the space to actually use it than a bar. The bathroom was very poorly lit, no fan to get rid of the moisture after taking a shower (water pressure was fantastic). The bed was TERRIBLE. I was so uncomfortable on my final night (we stayed 3), that I had to put one of the long (flimsy and very thin) pillows between me and the bed for extra cushion. I could feel the springs digging into my upper back and hips.
You are paying for the vibe, not the comfort or safety. Choose wisely.
Absolutely loved our stay at The Lafayette! It was a quick little honeymoon trip for my new husband and I, and it was worth the money. We will definitely stay longer next time.
