Very Good

The area was right in the gaslamp district so it is loud at night with the party scene. The room was beautiful. My only complaint was the shower was dirty and moldy.

So sad.
The sound from outside is too loud and energetic for us.
This was the easiest place to check in and out of. No lines or people. Just an email and text. Perfect location in the heart of The Gaslamp Quarter. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for the price
The hotel is located is a great place right in the middle of the GasLamp Quarter. Restaurants and bars galore. The room was like a mini apartment. Nicely furnished and clean. Very easy virtual check in process. The unit could use some maintenance and the bed and pillows could be upgraded. As some have said you can hear music from one of the bars next door but it wasn’t bad and we had no trouble sleeping. For the price this was a great place overall.

There is a random hidden fee the day before checking in. The elevator is practically broken. The main gate code is the same as the room code, which is unsafe.
The most important thing you need to know is that it is directly above a VERY busy bars and surrounded by a lot of other bars and club. They do provide earplugs and a noise machine which we turned on to the loudest setting. Luckily i was tired and fell asleep right away anyways. But do not stay here if you are a light sleeper.
The hallway downstairs & elevator smell pretty bad but once you’re in the room, everything is clean, no smell at all. The bed was comfortable and it is roomy and the kitchen came in handy.
They did leave us a cupcake at the door i think maybe to apologize for the noise we would hear being in a room facing the street.
Super convenient location and it was an easy walk to Petco & food

Our room was a spacious well equipped one bedroom unit with skylights and a kitchenette in a small hotel in an old building right in the center of the Gaslamp District. Although renovated and the room was in decent condition, the building showed some wear and tear. My wife and I stayed for four nights. During our first night, after 1:30 AM, there was on and off loud construction noise and loud conversation in Spanish on our corridor and below our window outside until 6 AM. After complaining, this did not happen again. During our last two days we had no hot water. This could not be remedied. I guess we had bad luck and the hotel would deserve a better review but, based on our experience, I cannot go beyond two stars.
This hotel is RIGHT in the heart of the GasLamp district and so has all the advantages and disadvantages that this entails. It is not going to be quiet until quite late at night, but then if you stay here why are you not out partying and being part of the noise? The room suite is nice and spacious with room to sit and lounge about. The communication from the remote management was fast and accurate and I did not mind not having someone there to ask.
Great location and close to convention centre and local transportation networks. Was easy to get around and explore the city. Neat location and enjoyed the historic aspect of the building. Room was quiet (I specifically asked for a room on the top floor and they were able to accomodate) and clean and I felt safe. Only complaints is the bed was really hard and windows were so dirty you couldn't really see out of them (but I wasn't there for the view so not a big deal). Showers lack any water pressure but it did the job. Overall it was a cute room and I would stay again.
I no one ever came to change my bedding after i explained there was either blood or dirt in my bed. My bed sat on the floor. I was unable to watch tv without having to use my own personal account. What was shown I didn't recieve. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!!!!BEWARE DON'T GO!!!
I give 5 stars because it was cheap and i like the aspect of checking in without talking to anyone or paying deposit other then the $13 fee. The area around is extremely noisy with music but i don’t mind that at all so it wasn’t a problem but note that if you don’t like music blasting all night. The room was cute and clean and just what we needed for a one night stay. Although noisy there was a bunch of cute restaurants and bars around very lively if you like to go out!
Have never left a review for past travel, but this stay at Kasa San Diego was magnificent. Check in process was extremely easy, communication is great, and the place was super quiet. I was even greeted with a delicious gift! The room is a good size for two travelers and has so many amenities. Only suggestion is to place a bigger Kasa sign in front of property building as we did pass it at first and sending the parking options one day prior instead of 30 min before check in.
If you’re down for a weekend at the Gaslamp this hotel is for you! It’s right above a bar but the noise isn’t horrible! Everything dies at 2 am. It’s walking distant from all the best restaurants and bars. You don’t have to worry about driving! There is available parking structures that is only a three minute walk! I loved how Cozy and homey it felt! I can’t to come back!

Amazing spot!
I loved staying here. The host left me a little goodie bag which was so sweet! I read a lot of reviews complaining about outside street noise but I didn’t have that issue at all. I felt super safe due to the code access on the doors. I’d stay again. So many nice food spots and night clubs that you can walk to and I parked in a parking garage for about $13
Very good place to stay if you want to experience the Gaslamp district. Do not stay here if you are a light sleeper or plan on calling it a night early, as it is very loud until 2-3am. The hotel provides a white noise machine as well as headphones, but it is still quite noisey. Perfect for a conference or nightlife stay. Will be returning next year!
Easy check-in and check-out. Contact from Kasa and the use of their virtual front desk made the entire experience quick and easy. This property is located right above 5th street and places you right in the center of the action of the Gaslamp District. Walkable to Petco Park, Convention Center, Seaport Village.
