Have stayed at The Old Town Inn on many occasions and have always found it excellent. With in walking distance of public transport and free airport shuttle also The Old Town. Clean comfortable room, nice breakfast and the staff are excellent.

This is an old building but in a good way. It was updated and fresh inside yet the outside was quaint. The room was small by today’s standards but really cozy but really cozy all the same. The bed was super comfortable, neither too hard nor too soft and I fell asleep quickly. The walk-in closet area was large and provided us with ample space for our 6 pieces of luggage.

We always stay here while in San Diego. Easy walk to Old Town. Lovely pool area. Breakfast good. Loved the Allen's Hummingbirds vying for territory around the pool. However after dark, area a bit dicey. We took Uber home after dark. Hotel and grounds - always feel comfortable. Will stay again next we find an excuse to run down there again. Hopefully sokn!

Lovely Inn, staff welcoming, very generous breakfasts with lots of choices…Pool area so pretty & pleasant. Surprisingly quiet tho in an industrial area—but it’s quiet too! Our dog Chelsie felt welcome everywhere, & tho the neighborhood is all business—the Inn is very convenient to Balboa Park, La Jolla, Hillcrest & North Park—both full of cafes, coffee places & restaurants. And we walked to Old Town twice—easy, felt safe & we enjoyed dinner 2X @ yummy sushi restaurant—crowded w/locals so knew were in a god place👍

It exactly what we needed. Small ,family friendly , clean, and quiet. It’s right next to a freeway bridge but far enough to be quiet. I wouldn’t deem the area safe to walk at night but in a car it’s perfect. Right by the public transportation and a perfect middle ground for anyone visiting San Diego.

We stayed 3 nights. The room was dated, bathroom very basic with only small soaps, no lotion, nothing else. there was a small refrigerator that fit right under the cloth hanger rod so we could not hung our clothes. We were given a room in a separate section that does not have direct access to lobby/breakfast area/swimming pool. We literally had to walk on the street sidewalk to get to the main part of the hotel. The continental breakfast not well stocked. The photos that we saw online did not match the pool area or hotel entrance. The hotel states that they are close to Old Town, but do not mention that you have to cross a main avenue and go through train/trolley terminal, train tracks, a terminal parking lot and an under passage to get you to the other side of the train tracks, The area around the hotel is not walkable there was nothing around, you must have a car to get you around or walk to the train terminal.
