It is a good spot with good rooms, the only bummer was the large homeless population around the hotel, but it's California so I guess that's to be expected. The food was good, but the menu options were limited, especially for the place that is open in the afternoon/evenings. Very focused on alcohol, not so much eating.

Best hotel in baseball

Fantastic 3 day stay to watch 3 Padre games. The bridge to Petco Park is an absolute game changer. Really fun people watching in the lobby bar after a Sunday Night Baseball game for a baseball nerd.

My wife and I loved this hotel. The location was ideal for Gaslamp fun and even better for going to a Padres game because there is direct access to the ballpark for hotel guests. The room was fantastic, clean, and smelled great. Vibes at the pool were great. Loved the coffee at Fres.co, drinks at Ace Porter, and the Tiki Social poolside pop-up at Tortuga was off the charts. Excellent service, too. A perfect home base for our first visit to San Diego -- and hopefully our next visit, too. Just one request: Put a chair on the balcony. :)

Location, location, location! We stayed three nights. The guest services were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were basic, but comfortable. We very much appreciated the exclusive Omni guest entrance into Petco Park, which is directly connected to the hotel. The food choices at the hotel restaurants left something to be desired. Fortunately, the Gaslight District, literally around the corner, offers up an exhausting number of dining choices. Seaport Village is also only a short, pleasant walk from the hotel. Would definitely go back.

Very convenient next to the stadium. This was our third stay. The room is great, clean, spacious. I find the hours of the restaurants and store a little inconvenient. From 2-4, there are no options except the pool bar which is jammed. Would be nice to be able to get a bottle of water in the lobby at different hours. The A/C was out building wide for most of our stay. Out of the control of the staff, I just wish the communication was a little better. They came to our room multiple times to fix ‘our’ A/C but never told us it was building wide until many hours later. Kind of felt like we were just complainers with our room at 80 degrees. Only thing offered was advice to close the blinds. A/C came back on late that night.

I love the skywalk to the Padre game. I've been staying at the Omni every time we come to San Diego. Omni always exceeds our expectations. However, this one was a fail, sorry to say. Our room had a connecting door to another room in which a very loud family with a crying baby occupied. I understand there's nothing one can do about a screaming crying baby, that woke me up at 3:30 am everynight, Having experience and a degree in the hospitality business, I would recommend never to book a family and a couple in adjoining rooms. I hope you rectify this in the future. It would be wise to forgo any incidentals I might have accured or maybe free parking, to turn this around and make it a plus. Thank you, Bonnie Korkow
