If you’re looking for luxury, this isn’t it. Definitely a decent place to lay your head and keep it moving.

Stay was very pleasant at Pleasant Inn. Rooms were very clean and even had house keepers knocking on my door early eager to clean. Parking was very tight is the only negative I can say. Hotel is in a high traffic area off the freeway so it can get noisy. Got the room at a good deal, the cheapest I had ever seen so I couldn’t pass up. Honestly, I can’t see myself paying more for the room during the peak summertime; room not worth it. Nevertheless, you are paying for a premium for the good Clairemont area, room cleanliness, and reviews from previous guest. If you can get room cheap, get it otherwise they may be better options at the same price.

Staff were nice when checking in. Uncomfortable bed/pillows. Sink was clogged upon arrival and had to scoop out the water and throw into the bathtub. Room was okay size.

The protection coverage is misleading and cover is

The extra protection I purchased is very deceiving and basically covers nothing. We checked in at 30 minutes later. I returned to the office to let them know that my wife was having really bad menstrual cramps and a migraine so we decided to cancel our plans for the next day and drive back home to Riverside. When I spoke to the man at the front desk, he was very dismissive and just said go through hotels.com. There’s nothing I can do to help you here and I just asked him simple questions. If you knew anything about the protection plan, I called the customer service number for the protection plan insurance company, and they initially assured me that interrupted stay for the reasons I gave would qualify for a claim. When I tried to reach them over the course of the next couple of days, they told me that the only way my interrupted 30 minutes they could get covered was if we had a doctors note from the doctor for that night. We checked out at 11:30 PM and who goes to the doctor for severe mental cramps and a migraine. My wife just wanted to go home to sleep so she could feel better. This has happened to her before and it could last for a few days. Ultimately, I feel that the protection as described on hotels.com is very misleading and all lose to protection for any reason. But it is very unreasonable to expect a guest to go to the doctor in this situation just to prove the coverage. We were only there for 30 minutes and now I’m stuck for the entire pay of the stay.

I booked the wrong day for this stay. Hotel staff and especially the hotel.com agent so the 800 call center fixed the problem within minutes. Allowed me to check in by rebooking the reservation. Excellent customer service
