The location is good for most of the things around. The hotel is quite but they can really work on few things like 1. Breakfast - they really need to step up on that as there were literally couple of options and even then the food seemed like stale / frozen. Apart from the scrambled eggs and waffle there were no options. 2. Room service is very poor. USB ports were not working which even after requesting was not fixed. They did not change sheets / towels even after requesting The price is very lucrative but they can raise it by few dollars to offer better services and breakfast items as that would help guests staying The location is really good if you want to be near tourist attractions and so if they improve few of these things, we would love to come back

No towels or body wash
My family of 3- myself, bf and our daughter stayed here for 2 nights. We were originally given 2 towels for all of us to shower with. I asked for more and they told me housekeeping was gone for the day. I had to exchange the dirty ones in order to get clean ones- they couldn’t just ‘give’ me any extra. Well after the first shower, the body wash was used/all gone. I again went to the front desk and asked for more body wash. They said they didn’t have any and that the room service had to refill it later, the next day. We were going out for the day, so I told them yes- please have room service come in and exchange the now dirty 2 more towels, and fill the body wash. When we returned from our day trip, the room had not been cleaned nor the body wash filled. I asked the front desk attendant, and she said she was still out of wash, and she didn’t know what we should do. I asked to swap from a vacant room and still she said she didn’t know if she could- and then she suggested we wait until 10am on our check out day to speak to the manager. This is very inconvenient and uneducated of the staff. We felt ignored and very upset that we were unable to shower appropriately. I would not recommend this motel, the service is horrible and they do not care or wish to even attempt to care about their guests needs.

This is the smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen. It barely fit my belongings; I can’t imagine 2 people, especially two women. The room was clean. Liked the included breakfast and free parking but the area is odd. Just car lots so definitely the reason it’s cheap. No gym And wifi was good enough to watch YouTube. I would choose elsewhere because I didn’t really enjoy my time in the room as I usually do. Area is very quiet at night and quite central and easy to get on the highway both directions. Almost directly beside a busy 711 for snacks

Rooms are very small compared to images. There is not enough space to walk inside the rooms without hitting anything. Lot of trouble getting new towels from the staff. They claim that they haven't done laundry yet for 2 days. Parking is narrow and difficult to find. Lot of noise in the morning due to traffic.

Bring earplugs…. You can hear everything inside and out of these buildings. Every step from the people above you and the doors have small cracks under so you can hear everything outside. I tried to cancel the rest of the nights due to the noise and lack of sleep. However the other nights were much better with earplugs/tv kept on. Front staff was attentive in trying to help us solve the issue. Other than the noise, beds were fine, everything seemed clean. Water pressure is awful but to be expected. Gina, front desk staff, was nice, helpful and apologetic in this circumstance.

I only stayed for one night so as for the room it was just fine - clean and easy. The room had a pretty musty smell that now is on some of my clothes but not a big deal. I was unhappy with the service. I got in pretty late around 11pm and no one was at the desk to check me in. The lobby was locked (normal for that late) and the lights were on but no one was there. I knocked for 10 minutes then finally called Best Western. Not ideal for a solo female traveler to be standing outside that late at night with no one inside. Finally someone came but my biggest issue was that when he checked me in he stated my room number out loud very loudly and there was another male standing behind me waiting to be assisted. I was not happy with that as I immediately felt uncomfortable knowing this other man knew my room number. Advice for management: please make sure your reception staff does not state your guests room numbers out loud when it is clearly written on the room card holder...

It was a motel like stay and I took off one star for the facilities because the pool is not heated despite the website description of the amenities. We asked the front desk and he was clueless saying he has not aware of any settings for the pool. Check in and out process was quick and hotel itself was remodeled recently. My favorite part was the microwave and empty fridge since we had leftovers which worked out as the breakfast itself was quite basic. The sound proofing was lacking as we heard people from the floor above us or walking by easily. That said, this location is great for SeaWorld and San Diego zoo which is what we did. Please keep in mind it is quite far from the Gaslamp area with all the speakeasy and bars.
