Staff was super friendly and helpful. Some feedback for improvement would just be to have more amenities in the hotel room, such as a hairdryer, iron ironing board, maybe a mini fridge as this is usually standard in most hotels. The shower racks did not feel secure on the wall. As the front door entrance was handicapped accessible, there was no elevator or any kind of way for someone in a wheelchair or to access the upstairs. Parking was limited to the city structure, which made it confusing and inconvenient to access the hotel, as we had to walk around the front of the building after, with no access directly from the parking structure.

Gorgeous historic hotel - a little too warm for us

This hotel is beautiful. It is in a great location. The employees are very kind and helpful. The only issue we had here was that there is no AC and then also no fan. We'd have been fine with no AC if there was a fan to move the air around, but we were miserable in our hot room. With the window open there still was no circulation, it was hot and very loud outside with the window open. If there was just a fan, I'd want to stay here again and again. We actually contemplated leaving and finding somewhere else to stay we were so hot/stuffy in our room. We were also sad the bar area was closed during our visit. If they add fans, then this place is beautiful and I'd love to come back!!

Requested a crib. We were told it was in the room. It was not in the room when we arrived and we asked the front desk and were told it was first come first serve and we could not get one until tomorrow.

Cute quirky hotel

Super cute newly remodeled hotel right in the heart of Gaslamp. All the staff was beyond friendly, and had free coffee in the morning. The WiFi did not work, which wasn’t a big deal as we barely spent any time in the room, and it was a weekend so didn’t have to work. The only downside is there is no fans, and no AC in the rooms. So the room was so stuffy and you can’t open the windows at night because it’s just simply too loud. Not somewhere we would stay during any other season besides winter.

The staff was amazing from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out . And I probably would stay again . My tv never worked and I didn’t get new towels . But I wouldn’t give it a bad review because I just think it wasn’t done intentionally . Like I said the front desk was extremely nice and made me feel welcome . I just wish the tv worked because I felt bored in room.

The room was clean. Stayed on the 3rd floor , with no elevator it got old quick! No air conditioning, hair dryer or toiletries. If you don't have much luggage, you might like it. Had to keep the window open because again no air, very loud. Did see a person smoking crack next to the entry door . So that wasn't great.

Had a wonderful stay here with my partner, the hotel looks brand new, They had just opened up about a month ago, the front desk guys who were checking us in were nice and even helped us with our luggage to our room. My partner especially loved having fresh starbucks coffee on the second floor served 24/7. I will be choosing this hotel if im ever back in san diego

I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful, kind, and supportive. I would stay here again however I wouldn’t stay here other than winter season because there is no A/C, only one small squared window. Parking is also difficult and expensive. I stayed here for a festival I was going to though and it worked out.

The hotel’s location to numerous stores, bars, & restaurants within the Gaslamp is very convenient, however like much of Downtown San Diego, the homeless problem is prevalent. There wasn’t a day where we didn’t encounter homeless individuals while walking to/from the hotel. The hotel renovations are brand new and in some cases ongoing (lobby area). I would recommend the general contractor walk each room and blue tape items for their subcontractors to address. In our room, there was fresh paint splatters that should’ve been cleaned up, messy caulking, poorly installed face plates, etc. There are 3 parking lots conveniently located near/next to the hotel. Rates can change throughout the day. We paid $50 every 24 hours.

I wanted to have a Staycation and came across The Beau. It looked super cute online. Well, you know the saying, too good to be true, which it was! In two different places online it talks about parking, but the information conflicts. You actually have to pay, to pay in an open lot across the street for $40. In which you also do not have in and out privileges. Then, when we were checking in, the person behind the desk, tried giving me a Queen Bed, when I paid for a King! I almost canceled the reservation as he was telling me he didn't have a King available. The amenities it says it has in a room is all false! Bed was super hard. Plus, when it says Gaslamp Quarter, actually be prepared for it to be more Downtown and many homeless around! Lastly, There was a party going in, on the 3rd Floor above us. There was pounding and banging for 3 hours straight (12pm-3am). I could hear the voices and conversations clearly. It was not a good experience.

My stay was very clean and relaxing with respectful receptionists that were just one phone call away. Everything is brand new at this hotel with an entire bar that looks like it will be ready to use soon. They have a little garden area that is quite peaceful if you need some time outside your room but don’t want to be part of the noise from the street which gets busy. My luggage was taken care of all the way to my room which was not expected since I did not see a bell man. Much appreciated especially with the heavy load I have as a woman….

The hotel is very nice but still unfinished, my room didn’t have AC so I had to keep the window open but since it was facing the street there was a lot of noise during the night
