The BEI is a great place to stay if you’re in town to party and don’t care much about your room experience. We first paid for a city view room which was mostly blocked by the neighboring vacant building. Our room window(1117) was very grimy as well. Carpets were stained, furniture was damaged. Our sink didn’t have hot water; I even tried turning the shut off valve each way. We also had a couple instances where the water temp for the shower was lukewarm. If you have a conjoining room, be prepared to know your neighbors really well. Nothing like hearing a sneeze or cough come through the door like they were in the room. One nice surprise was that the room came with a mini fridge which wasn’t listed on the amenities. I also liked the chromecast option for the tv so we could stream our apps. This could be a great hotel, but it would take some serious work.

The lobby looks fantastic everything else about the property not so much. We paid for the upgrade for a higher floor and view, which wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t great. The room itself was riddled with stains, literally had nowhere to store clothes, and the bed was the second worst thing to sleep on, next to sleeping on a mat in jail. Okay I know this was the biggest complaint among all guests, the whole towel situation. Housekeeping refused to provide any towels, replacement of dirty ones even when the room was cleaned, super annoying but I think I know why they don’t hand the towels out there 😂. Overall the location was great, a little rough, but no rougher than most major cities in the downtown area. If you’re looking for a crash pad, this place is perfect. If you’re looking for comfort or amenities look elsewhere.

This was by far the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Filthy carpets in hall and in room. Torn blinds. Rust in shower. There was a large chunk of what looked to be human hair in front of my door. If I didn’t have a tired 3 yr old and only one night to stay I would have left. Disgusting. I want my mo yes back. Staff was fine after 30 min wait to check in. Staff leaving just glared and said “room number”. Never again. I want my money back. Expedia this was egregious. Do something about it. I have pictures to support my statements.

Room was extremely dirty. Carpet in hallway was super dirty. Mold in the bathroom. Green looking boogers that were flung on the ceiling in the bathroom. Only positive with this place is that the bed didn’t have bed bugs.

It is downtown location which is what we were looking for during pride weekend. We were right in the action where we wanted to be… we did see a few drug deals go down in an alley nearby and we were mindful walking at night. Didn’t necessarily feel unsafe just wanted to be aware. The hotel was clean and friendly and loved the rooftop sitting area to chill in between events.

Mice and clogged drains
We had a mouse in our first room. Moved at midnight and the second room had used tissues on the counter. Next morning when i tooky shower the drain was clogged so I was in standing water the whole time. Less than pleased and when I told the front desk at check out the attendant didn’t even offer an apology but just wrote the maintenence issue on a list. Won't be back despite it being so convenient when seeing a show at The Orpheum.

Cool nice spot , I guess it was a Hilton or sumn, looks kinda re done , and kinda not . Easy access and parking , friendly staff , but the whole place was like a ghost town , the bar at O’s appears all nice and open , nope closed . Rooms were ok , stayed two nights , then opted for a third later , second room was ok as well . Carpet had stains all over , and I think conditioner in the body wash dispenser in the shower . $55 a day to park! Ouch!!some elevators not working , door to the hotel didn’t close , just stayed open so not sure how safe that is . On a high note , from old google pics they moved the homeless from the front to the side on the corner , and ice and a filter water station on every floor . So ok , price was kinda high I feel .

The hotel and staff were amazing! The rooms were comfortable and amenities were great. All the staff that we interacted with were very kind and welcoming. The area around the hotel itself doesn’t feel the safest though. If you are staying here I’d recommend driving since we didn’t feel too safe walking around the area, especially at night. That being said, the lobby of the hotel always has security which was very reassuring and a secured parking lot so you don’t have to worry about leaving your car in a random lot overnight. The hotel is also not that far from all the tourist attractions which was very convenient.

The Hotel has a nice drive up area where you can get picked up and dropped off. The surrounding has a bit of sketchy people around, but this pull in area bypasses that. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.
