The CitizenM chain of hotels is a great find! The staff were so lovely at San Fran and it was impeccably clean. The rooms are on the small side and perfect for a lone traveller. I love the open areas where freelancers work and the bar is cute and inviting. I really loved it and it's proximity to shops and restaurants. I'd stay there again in a flash.

CitizenM never disappoints. The hotel itself is clean and super conveniently located in Union Square close to public transportation and plenty of food and drink options. Like every big city though, there are some rough spots if you walk a couple blocks in the wrong direction (however, I was visiting SF this trip and lived in SF for over a decade before this, and tbf the Tenderloin can be sketchy but as long as you are paying attention and don't engage with local residents you will normally be fine).

Location was very good as located in close to all transportation. Security staff was always at entrance and felt safe. All staffs are very nice and seemed happy and very cooperative. So staying here was comfortable. Thank you! I want to stay here again.

This isn’t a ding against the property which is well situated and resourced from entrance to the accommodations. SFO is just really run down and poorly kept along that stretch of Ellis. Many hotels on that street have the same issue.

This was such a great experience! I had to travel to San Francisco for a work event and was nervous about my stay. The location was excellent but what really stood out was the staff. In a time where customer service seems to have disappeared, the whole team at CitizenM was amazing. It seems like the staff did every job in the lobby which was very convenient when needing assistance. Everyone was friendly and efficient, from the doorman to the housekeeping team. You also cannot beat this location!

I'm told that fast food restaurants have furniture that a person can't sit on too long. Your hotel was like that Most expected amenities were there but not arranged in a in a logical or pleasing way. It was way too expensive too.
