I arrived late. When I went to the check in desk there was no one there. The guy was actually outside smoking. I had to check in, take my luggage to the room and then go park. You either have to pay parking for $50 plus per day(location not on site) or go find street parking and pay meter.

The hotel is in a great location, 2 blocks from Union Square and close to public transport as well as tourist bus tour stops. The room was good, well-equipped and clean. Breakfast was good and very useful before a day sightseeing. It is not like a modern chain hotel but that’s part of the charm. It is like a small, independent hotel but right in the heart of the city. We loved it.

A Good Hotel to Stay
This Hotel is vintage with a lot of charm. The only view out of our room were neighboring tall buildings. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The happy hour between 5 and 6 with a roaring fireplace and free wine was so nice and relaxing where we met other people staying at the hotel. The location is right down town and very easy to visit the city and close to tours and attractions. Also the breakfast was good with toast, bacon or sausage, eggs, fruit, cereal, coffee, milk and juice.

We had a very quick stay here, but the outside was very dirty and run down, the room itself had a strobing light, and we were disappointed to find out that “breakfast provided” was actually just a coffee bar 😩

This hotel is very good value for your money. Just off of Union Square, so was very quiet. Rooms are generous, clean, updated, with very comfortable beds. Bonus is a very good complementary breakfast bar in the morning. Would highly recommend this property!

The breakfast included was tremendous. A little different variation every day of a fresh filling real breakfast. Great Hotel location. Beginning of Chinatown shopping next-door one block away. Union Square four blocks away with steep walk, Can hop on the tourist trolley to fisherman‘s wharf right next door on Powell Street. You can spend more, but this is great location and good hotel specially for breakfast and an AC unit where are used to from Texas.
