There are "pros and cons" to this hotel. The space was great-we got the king suite since we were staying in the city for the week. Nice bedroom, bathroom and living room space. TV remote was antiquated...and of course the furniture was the same. Could be cosier with a rug in the living space. Is noisy if someone is above you-could hear foot steps once they were awake. Overall a great price for the room and location. Walkable to most places and quite central-close to Japan town. Overall a good spot.

This property has an awesome theme and amazing charm. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. There is a coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar available 24/7 with great selection. The continental breakfast was reasonable for variety (mostly breads, could use more fresh fruit). The rooms were clean had tall beds, robes, and a bathtub. We had to take public transport or take Uber to get to most tourist destinations from the hotel (instead of walking), but that was no problem. It was quiet and comfortable for sleeping. Will stay here again next time I'm in SF!

Charming property!

Fabulous in every way for a three star property! We will go back. The only down side is the Internet is not reliable (except in the lobby!) so I’m thrilled that it was NOT a business trip. Loved the staff and Love old historic properties!

The room is very small and only a small table and one chair. the other person will not find a place to put their butt, the bed is too high. there is no microwave in the room, no parking lot, and the street parking is very difficult. The so-called countyard view is only a narrow view of withered yellow trees and grass.
