The lobby is small, not terribly inviting but the rooms are big, open and clean. And free parking! Good food within walking distance. Will definitely stay here again.

Great location, parking and cost

Had a great stay. The owner of the motel was incredibly helpful and gracious. We needed a parking space and he came out and was able to locate one on the street for us. One of the advantages of the hotel was that they offered parking. This is rare in San Francisco. Parking is at a premium. The room was nice, great location to activities. The beds were comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit San Francisco with my family.

We are so happy we chose Inn On Grove and have met, Mr. Biren Mahida. He was so helpful and very friendly. We chose this place to stay cause the parking is included. We also loved the experience regarding the lift. It was cute that you have to open a door in order to see the lift. The place is clean and the water pressure in the bathroom is very good. We felt safe during our stay. We love it! Thank you, Mr. Biren for being so nice.

Room was very small. It was clean and comfortable. A lot of restaurants walking distance. Free parking was great as I used uber back and forth to UCSF hospital where my wife was recovering from surgery.

Honestly, this place was so unbelievably smelly and stale with lumpy pillows and chipped furnishings, ancient carpet and zero amenities. The location is great but if this hotel were anywhere else, nobody would go near it. It made our skin crawl. We will never again trust Expedia’s ratings. We will always look up a place independently of Expedia. When we arrived, there was a big smudge on our mirror, and our room smelled like mothballs and the worst morning breath. We asked to switch rooms to an updated one, as many of the reviews on Expedia stated, only to find out all rooms had been updated - an absolute joke. The man from the front desk was very angry with us for having checked the cleanliness of the sheets. He claimed all his cleaning staff had left and we had hugely inconvenienced him by doing this before asking for a cleaner room. Of course at that moment the cleaning staff emerged from a room right behind him. He moved us but the next room was just as putrid. We would never in a million years stay here again.

Location being by many amazing restaurants was awesome! Really close to Painted Ladies and a short Lyft or walk (if you don’t mind hills) to many of the tourist attractions in the city. Felt super safe, which was one of my main concerns when looking for places to stay in San Francisco. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a more affordable place to stay in the city

Good little hotel

Very friendly and accommodating staff... Good little greasy spoon attached. A little expensive for the lack of amenities, but i know there is a big conference in town and hotels are packed. Close to bars/restaurants...Feels safe and secure even though doors open right to the outside.

While the property does offer free parking, the spaces are extremely limited and very tight, which may cause inconvenience. The staff, unfortunately, were unhelpful and unprofessional, leaving a negative impression. That said, the room itself was a highlight—clean, well-kept, and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to stay.
