It’s an older property in a less attractive neighborhood. As other reviewers noted, the rooms are small…very small. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Free parking was the best part of this property.

It's a basic, renovated and repainted old school motor inn. Clean, excellent location and felt nostalgic to me. Good option if you're cost conscious and want to stay in a great area. I want to celebrate and acknowledge the Manager who goes by BM. He went out of his way to accommodate requests and left after me and other guests. I think it's his care and leadership that really makes the place. Would definitely come back because of him

Pros - The surrounding area is so quiet - very little street/city noise. The exterior of the premises is extremely clean and well-kept. The room was clean and there was a fridge, small coffee maker, and microwave. Free parking onsite. Cons - we could hear people in the next room very clearly without some background noise. The carpet looked very dingy and all finishes are very dated. There was a large crack in the door you could see through. Towels and sheets were all very worn. No hair dryer in room. Chose this place based on location and good reviews, but would probably would not stay again unless rooms are renovated.

A little too expensive, but other than that it was a good place to stay. It lacked amenities for the price listed. Had no water in the rooms. Didn't offer breakfast so no issue for that since it tells you before booking. Location wise, very central. Personnel very friendly and professional 👌

Location!

Location. The location is great. Super walkable to Hayes Valley shops & food. I stayed because of its close proximity to Davies Symphony Hall. The customer service and staff were very kind and helpful. The price is also what you pay for. The quality of the room was its main drawback. The carpet was worn (there was full divot at threshold of the bathroom). The furniture was pretty scuffed and worn. There were light fixtures with no bulbs in them or switches. The lampshade had obvious stains. The LED bulbs they use flash at night (probably due to old wiring?). The bathtub’s nonskid was coming off and the shower curtain could use a new one or a good cleaning. The bed was very firm which was nice. The pillows however were super lumpy and small. A good sized closet considering the age of the hotel and size of room. It was actually very quiet which was an added benefit. It’s not the worst room or place, it just needs updating and replacing of things. I wouldn’t stay here again.

It was an older motel, but house keeping was amazing!! Room was very clean and they cleaned it everyday along with the bed sheets. We had double beds, which were large and our backs were not hurting from the mattresses. We would stay there again.

The room was spacious, with a nice widescreen TV and comfortable beds. All the benefits of San Francisco were at our fingertips! One other thing: we felt safe and secure regarding our personal items and automobile.

I am a woman in my 60s and I was treated very kindly and upgraded to a king when I had booked a queen. I’m here for UCSF after a surgery and was pleasantly surprised at the neighborhood feel, convenience of restaurants, and walkability of the area. Love the free parking, the wonderful smaller square pillows that were so moldable and comfortable to sleep on, and how my needs were perfectly accommodated. I stay lots of different places on my frequent trips to San Francisco, always looking for value without sacrificing comfort or safety, and this hits all the marks. It is an older property and isn’t fancy, but I felt safe and comfortable here and would return again without hesitation. Many thanks to the proprietor and staff!
