Lovely Stay
Amazing stay over the Christmas holiday weekend. Staff were friendly, valet expensive $80/day, but excellent. Beacon Hotel is a mix of old world and modern feel. We had a junior suite and it was roomy, quiet, and the bedding and linens were to die for. The service was great. We had room service for a cheese plater and it was well made, delivered quickly, and at a reasonable price. Perfect location.

The protester don’t stop. So much noise it gave me a horrible headache. I wouldn’t stay here again. Also the bar with the view is hardly open.

It was really helpful to be able to check-in a few hours earlier than expected. Also we received 3 drink tickets to use in the bar. Our first night our neighbors decided to party al night so security kindly asked them to shut it down. So the next day we were moved and accommodated well. Drinks at the bar with the pianist on Christmas Day was joyous. Really wish the starlight room had been open during our 3 night stay. Would love an offer to come back and a view of the union square festivities would be in order. Thank you for friendly service and a festive comfortable place to celebrate the holidays. See you again.

Great location. It was fine. We sat at the Post Bar for 10 minutes and not one person acknowledged us, so we left. Starlight Room was over a 2 1/2 hour wait and then they couldn’t find our reservation when we went back. Both bars seemed to need better staffing.

I love this hotel. I have stayed her many times in the past couple of years and have always had a good experience. The staff goes above and beyond, including the restaurant and room service staff. Leif, the front desk staff, and the bellman have always been extremely helpful as well.

Annual Holiday Adventure to SF
Every Christmas we visit the city for a holiday weekend with friends and this was our 3rd year staying at the Beacon Grand. Everyone is so nice, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. We’re already looking forward to next year’s trip!

We had reserved a high floor room with a view of union square but our only view was of the HVAC system on the roof. The front desk staff was incredibly not helpful nor friendly. The bartender was even worse, rude is an understatement. The best employees at this hotel were the bellhop and valet. Those guys are awesome. The rest of the staff should take notes from them.

To stay self is all right I find it atrocious to pay so much to basically stay in a small tiny bedroom. They also did not let us know ahead of time that there would be a strike on going from 7 AM to 10 PM daily and that was super inconvenient and I don’t feel like they comped us enough for the lack of sleep.
