It was what I had expected, small older rooms but were updated and clean. This is an older hotel, many times refurbished, with smaller rooms. It was good as I was there for a night. Pricing was good.

The staff was welcoming and helpful, we arrived earlier than our check in time and were unable to check in so the staff offered to store our luggage so that we could leave and start our holiday immediately which was so kind. Our room was clean. The housekeeping did a great job, we would come back to our room with clean towels and a made bed. There was a small breakfast available with coffee and tea. There was fresh fruit and pastries as well, it was small but as advertised. The hotel was clean and friendly and we would definitely go back. It was close to the BART station and easy to get around from the hotel.

This was a great hotel for the price! Wonderful coffee service in the morning with fresh fruit and muffins. The staff was lovely and the rooms are clean and have a few modern touches for an old building. Lovely lobby as well.

Tiny tiny bathroom
Location to shops, restaurants and even Chinatown was great. The room we were given 211 was super small. The bathroom was a joke. You practically had to climb over the toilet to get into the bath/shower. We had no hot water in the middle of the day. The room was clean. There is no mini fridge in the room. Our window was frosted glass so you couldn’t look outside. I understand that this is a very old hotel but I was led to believe it was much bigger. Staff were nice and friendly. You pay $10 for morning coffee and pastries

Fantastic location, close to Union Square so walking distance to several resto and shopping. Staff were really friendly, and they allowed me to do early check in. The rooms were spacious and the bed really comfortable. Definitely great value for money. Highly recommended

This is my second stay here. It is pretty decent with very helpful and friendly staff. Very convenient location. Like the addition of pasties and coffee / tea on mornings; but should separate any meat options from veggie / non meat.

Everything was great and I would stay here for a third time. Only thing Is that I wished the room had some type of mini fridge or at least an ice machine somewhere. But besides that everything was great, best lobby water around!

Property manager knowing places guests in rooms non functioning plumbing or WiFi. Could not take a shower at 6am as there was zero water pressure, was later offered another room with just enough water pressure to barley get water out. Staff clearly knew about the issues and excused it as “an old building”. Clearly not the first time they have put guests in these rooms. Take your chances!

Like many others pointed out that there’s only one small elevator so you will have to wait for a while. I ended up walking up down the stairs most of the time. Facilities are old but decently clean.
