Leaking Roof

My son and I stayed overnight as we live far from work and didn't want to commute in the storm the next morning. Woke up at 3am to go to work and the bed my son was sleeping in was wet and the floor was soaking wet from the leaking roof. When I checked in I could tell the roof had leaked there before so they should have never rented that room out without fixing the roof. Shame on them. This was a Wednesday night with several rooms available and they put us in that room. I kindly asked for a refund and they gave me $19.56 dollars back. I wasn't expecting 5 star treatment but I did expect my son to not wake up in a wet bed and step out of bed onto a wet floor to get his socks wet. Unacceptable. We slept with the heater on all night long so we did not hear that sound of water dripping until we woke up for work.

You get what you pay for

It was a cheap hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly. The internet connection kept dropping and the tv was constantly freezing. No fan in the bathroom, no complimentary shampoo, and the sink faucet splashed everywhere. Terrible water pressure. Killed 2 roaches in the bathroom. Walls are thin, and we were put right next to the elevator. There was only 1 outlet in the whole bedroom.

I was extremely disappointed to find out that there was no in room, refrigerator, microwave or coffee service. The hot tub makes the place appealing the lack of basic comfort amenities including a lousy mattress, removes it from the list.

Expect Motel amenities, but great Restaurant

This is a Motel, not a hotel, so adjust expectations accordingly. Despite that, the checkin was courteous and efficient, the room was large but spartan, the walls are thin, but pets stay for free, and there is a great breakfast and lunch diner attached to the Motel, called Hobees, a great Silucon Valley small chain for 50 years with good food and service.

We found a hair in the bed. Outside is dark amd not well lit. The only fairly close food option was a taco truck,which was actually reasonably priced and very good. The water in the bathtub came out brown. The tub was clean, the brown went away when the water was drained. I refuse to use the water at all now. Good thing i have bottled water. The bed is a platform with a mattress. The mattress was ok, but just sitting on the bed leaning against the headboard caused the mattress to slide off the end. We have been here a total of 6 hours. If i could leave I would. I will address these issues with them when we check out in the morning.

Some ppl were breaking up on the second floor through the windows on the middle of the night it was very scary I had to leave to sleep in my car leaving all my belongings there
