Amazing value, great hostel

Amazing hostel, lovely staff and so many amenities (microwave, hob, kettle, toaster, etc). Really clean and modern, and close to lots of public transport. The sleep pods were really nice too. Absolute steal for the price!

I thought that by sharing the public spaces such as restrooms and shower rooms would be a disaster but they keep those very very clean, especially the lounge area with the free flow tea and coffee and pretty complete kitchen utensils!

The check in link sent through the hotels.com app messaging took me to a site where I was prompted to pay before I could check in remotely. Remote check in required, it stated. I paid, thinking it was a deposit or mistake, and would be refunded or not processed. I then had to do a million rounds over WhatsApp (incredibly unprofessional) to prove I had paid twice and get the promise of the refund. I will update if the refund comes through. Then I arrived. No elevator. That’s fine. Dirty scuff on my bedsheets, not fine. Wasn’t dealt with until the next day. Sheets and blankets are poor quality polyester. Rooms do not have trash cans in them. Lounges are cramped and uncomfortable. Plates and cups are plastic. Coffee is instant packets. Loud music playing in hallways. Not a friendly vibe, either, no one smiles or says hi in halls.

Home away from home

This was my first time in San Francisco, didn't know much about the area, but being in the center of it all I'd explore one side of the city and come back to relax in my pod. People were respectful of privacy, had recommendations of places to eat/tour, and we're very welcoming. In the morning, several bathrooms/showers to choose from and always clean and ready to use. I even lost my watch, but graciously found it at the front desk. The fridge and lounge are is comfortable to stay and relax as one plans their day. I'd fill up my bottle on the filtered water every chance I got as I'm always hydrating. The bed is firm, but once you settle in it's nice to sleep in. Bring a cozy blanket. The laundry room does a charge, but I'm willing to pay as you don't have to leave the area and can just wait till it's all done. Had an amazing time during my vacation and would highly recommend and come back to stay.

An excellent property with an excellent manager on site. This place is spotlessly clean and very well taken care of. A chill hip minimalist feel with an international vibe. I had a great conversation about world travels with the manager on site. She is super cool. Loved everything about this. Place. The location, the design, the private beds. Beautiful.
