Bed bug. No refund. No help.

I will never stay here again. This is my first time ever giving such a negative review. When we were about to get into bed, a BED BUG climbed onto the pillow. We sent clear photos and videos to the company and called. We are not experts, but it perfectly matches every photo we can see online and does not match known look-alikes. They had no one on property to come help or look. They had no additional rooms and refused to refund until they could have someone take a look. The soonest they could provide help was the following morning (i.e expecting us to stay in a potential bed bug room overnight). We had to find anothet hotel at 1 am. The closest place with a room was in Cupertino and 2x the price. So we're out of sleep and out of money.

Great location in Redwood City. The staff that is in charge of cleaning is very nice and friendly. The only thing that was kind of inconvenient is that the numbers in the key pad to get into the building get stuck, we had to request another one which was easy to do.

My only complaint about this location is that the parking isn’t great. Both times I’ve stayed here. I’ve had to search around for parking for a while. But everything else is fantastic. It’s definitely not super quiet because it’s next to a very busy area, but it was fine for me

Pretty good! (With some exceptions)

I appreciate the concept of Kasa Niche. The place is modern, up-to-date, and gives people what they need in a clean, modern setting, without all the stuff that older model hotels try to layer in. Where they need to focus more attention is on their tech and basic security. The front door panel is operated by a keypad, as it the hotel rooms. Trouble is, for the front door, the buttons would stick (in), and it would take a few tries to get it to open. Not good when arriving home late a night and there might be some shifty people hanging around just down the block. Same goes for my room: you are supposed to hold your hand over a keypad to activate it, but often times it would not "wake up" after the first few tries. This is annoying and slightly stressful. And as a last point of critique, I'd say the walls and ceiling are very thin. You can hear every noise: the guy coughing his lungs out down the hall; the ice machine down the hall duming a load of ice; people talking in the next room; the guy sleeping in the bushes in the alleyway; the cars roaring up and down the alleyway. All this being said, it is still a fine place to stay if you're like me and don't like hanging out in your room. I like to get out and adventure around. The place was clean, I could take care of my own linens no problem, it was modern, sylish, etc etc.

A totally fine option if you know what to expect

This is a solid hotel located in a vibrant and charming area, within easy walking distance of many restaurants and coffee shops. The room was clean and comfortable. My only concerns were that the building doesn’t have an elevator, so I had to carry my large suitcase up and down the stairs (it’s only two stories, but still a bit inconvenient). Additionally, check-in and check-out are fully automated. I’m a bit old school and prefer having a person to talk to in case any issues or questions come up. While they did check in with me regularly by phone, basic requests—like storing my luggage at the hotel after check-out—couldn't be accommodated, which was a bit disappointing.
