Loved that it was walking distance to may things, including Pier 39. Property was large and spacious. The pool was great for our son and the breakfast buffet had many options. The one thing I would point out is the parking is very expensive per night.

Great choice with amazing breakfast
Fantastic location at Fisherman’s Wharf. The staff is world class! The lobby is spacious and has a really great bar that is very popular with the guests. The really amazing part is their absolutely incredible complimentary breakfast! The room was very clean, freshly decorated and comfortable although the bathroom was a little tight on space. Would suggest you bring your own bathroom tissue because what they provide is so thin it starts dissolving when you take it off the roll, haha. Besides that very minor complaint the hotel was fantastic!

The location can’t be beat. Right by the water but far enough away that we didn’t hear the crowds. The breakfast buffet was top notch and the staff were very polite and helpful. They were able to hold our bogs until checkin time so we could enjoy our day without having to wait for check in time!

Location is ideal. Right near the popular piers, everything within walking distance. Superb buffet breakfast but be prepared to queue for a couple of minutes during peak times. Personally I didn’t like the fact we could not open our window and could only rely on the aircon.! Three nights was plenty feeling like a caged tiger. Bathroom small and cramped with shower over the bath. Shower pressure was ok. Shampoo but no conditioner. Coffee machine but only 3 coffee sachets and limited creamers. The area felt very safe and down on the flat. Handy grab and go downstairs was open until 10pm. The whole building felt modern and clean

The hotel was very close to Pier 39 and a close walk to the Alcatraz attraction. There was plenty of under ground parking but I thought $60/night was pretty steep. The breakfast buffet was a pleasant surprise and very busy in the morning even when I went early (around 7:30) as it was suggested by the staff member that checked me in.

We stayed at the Riu for part of our honeymoon. The location is great in Fisherman’s Wharf. Close proximity to restaurants, piers and cable cars. I don’t think the hotel was worth the cost of $1,000 CAD for two nights. It was a tad run down, no hot tub, no robes, no water as you enter, no balcony, small shower and bathroom. we were on the main floor which was loud and no view.
