I was torn between choosing this hotel and one other nearby based on all of my criteria. Ultimately I'm so glad we went with Beacon Grand! The staff was very friendly every time we spoke in the halls or at the front desk. The location is perfect, the decor is stylish yet comfortable, the bed was comfy, our view was lovely, they event offered us a late checkout when our plans changed but we ended up not needing to utilize it. We were very pleased with our whole stay. Our only small complaint was that the Starlite Lounge was closed during the week (off days/hours, we get it) but we'd have loved to been able to visit it while we were staying there. We'll definitely tell others about it and hopefully be back soon!

The room was small but very clean and beautifully decorated. Our room faced the street and there was quite a bit of noise at night. However, this is to be expected in a major city. The bar was great and the restaurant was good too. Not the best that the city has to offer but for the sake of convenience, it’s a good option. It is on the expensive side but the service matched the expense. The restaurant itself was gorgeous and I would definitely stay there again.

The Beacon Grand Hotel in San Francisco is a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Located right in Union Square, it’s perfect for exploring the city with the cable cars right outside the door. The lobby and common areas feel grand and elegant, while the rooms are stylish and cozy, though some can be a bit compact. Staff are warm and attentive, and spots like the Post Room and Starlite Room add great dining and nightlife options. Overall, it’s a classic San Francisco stay, full of character, history, and convenience.

Solid union square pick

Bed was super comfortable. Good location and union square has cleaned up its act. Room updates were nice. Wish shower had more pressure and line at the front desk was always long; house keeping skipped us one day and one morning we woke up early to house keepers calling to each other down the hall, but otherwise the stay was great. Good cocktails in the bar. Would stay again

The bartenders and the front desk staff were very nice. Unlike the restaurant hostesses and the bellmen. Breakfast is very expensive for what it is. Overall hotel is cool, we enjoyed our stay.
