The hotel is small but cute and the rooms are fairly updated. The restaurant on the property, Fino, is quaint and we had dinner there one night. The food and service was excellent. It's too bad the restaurant is not available for happy hour and continental breakfast, given that the lobby is so small and cramped.

During 3 separate stays in the past two weeks each room was clean and the beds very comfortable. Decent showers, convenient outlets for charging, and added points for historic charm. But not set up for someone who wants to just sit in their room and watch TV. The rate was great for quality basic accommodations in the heart of the city.

Hotel doesn't have parking on site, they recomend a parking lot two blocks away. Overall a convinient stay if your trying to stay within main atractions in San Francisco. Staff could be more attentive. If you try to checking early they do charge you an early fee even if the room is ready (this was told by employee in reception desk).

This boutique hotel was cozy however… There was blood on the extra blanket, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, you can’t control the heat (felt like they were baking us on 350 at night), You can hear homeless screaming at night, and the breakfast is only donuts and orange juice. Would I stay here again? Probably not! It was centrally located though. Easy access to public transportation. Also, it was a last minute booking so I didn’t do too much research prior.

We came earlier than our expected check in and they attended to us immediately. I stayed at the hotel with one other friend. We originally had a queen room but they upgraded us for free when we arrived. The staff was very kind and accommodating, they provided us with the extra items we needed such as an iron immediately. The free breakfast was nice, we went in early April and they had donuts, yogurt, and fruits. The area is a short distance from Union station so it was very easy to navigate the public transport. It does get a little shady at night and the walls are on the thinner side so it would be wise to ask for a room on the upper floors. It does get loud at night because of the activity on the street but thats San Francisco. Overall a very great stay!

The building is old and beautiful, well preserved. The staff helpful and friendly. Area easy to walk abd accesible to public transportation.
