It was okay... The shower leaked badly onto the bathroom floor, I had to pay extra any time someone visited me at the hotel, no one stayed the night with me, but I got charged for visitations, which was absolutely ridiculous. I will never go back to this property.

I have always stayed here and it has been geat but recently they are different. Must be under new management. I asked them to print a document and they charged me $40.00. Crazy. I asked why and the woman only said that her manager said to charge me that much. I explained that I had always stayed there but I would never again because of this and she simply said, "ok". Typical of the Costa Rican culture to take what they can in the moment but I expected more from Barcelo. Adios!

The elevator was broken and staff said that it works but it don’t so I had to climb the stairs and my key didn’t work so I had to make several trips up and down the stairs . When pull g up front to check in the man in front would not allow me to unload my luggage and was rudely told to do that out back , I don’t know why you can’t check in from the front but even the desk people were rude, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ever and Expedia should remove them from their site .

Great location to airport and the staff at this hotel are fantastic!!! The Staff at the front desk Analucia, Kenia and Stacy were incredibly kind, patient and helpful. They helped me during a time of great personal stress (Hurricane Milton). I was forced to stay at the hotel because my flight was canceled in the US. During my stay the really supported me while the hurricane devastated my home state of Florida. 5 stars for the hotel staff!!!!!

I enjoyed my stay here although the hotel definitely has its limitations. It's not convenient walking distance to much in San Jose. The restaurants are average but menus are prettty limited. The grounds are well kept and the lobby staff are all very friendly and professional, as well as the restaurant staff members. My one sort of inconvenience I had was with the housekeeping: I was out of my room all day on one of the days and returned at 5pm to no housekeeping to the room. I got a knock on the door at 5:15 and asked if she could come back in 5 minutes as I was willing to leave the room to allow her to clean but needed to gather my things. Her response was a flat out "no" which ive never encountered at any hotel before as a guest. But besides that incident everything else went smoothly and it didn't hamper the overall good experience of the hotel. Extra points go the bartender and staff at the hotel bar. They were excellent.

Me encanta la comodidad en las habitaciones, la limpieza, el gym, la piscina y el parqueo gratis, solo que hubo un inconveniente con el VIP con el que reservamos la habitación premium, en el hotel no lo sabian y tuve que mostrar los detalles de mi reserva para que me cambiaran a la habitación correcta y además tuve que regresar a recepción para que me activaran la tarjeta que permite entrar a la cafetería del 6to piso, ni siquiera recibí una palabra de disculpas o algún trato VIP.

I was coming to this hotel for more than 10 years. Its unfortunate to see how it is going down the tube. Basically the hotel is running on less than min staffs including reception area, rwstaurant staffs...etc. The existing staffs are not friendly anymore and no pura vida vibe anymore. Not sure if its economical problems or management issues but it seems like they are cutting back corners from everywhere. Would not stay here anymore!

The hotel use to be 4 stars but it is struggling. Woke up in the morning after heavy rain and a corner of the room was soaking wet. By the looks of the carpet this was not a one time thing. The food is just so so I would be reluctant to eat anything except for the breakfast. Not sure what’s going on with the hotel.
