A lovely and quiet hotel. I needed a night here on the way to the airport so it was a good location for that but it is in a quiet residential neighbourhood and not close to much else. There is a busy shopping street with some fast food options and simple shopping if necessary.

I arrived late in the evening. The artwork is magnicent. It is 15 minutes from the airport but worth every minute to get to this national treasure.

I loved the breakfast, it was supreme among hotels even in the U.S. the only comparable one in the U.S. was at The Residence Inn in St. Louis, MO. The room exceeded my expectations but the loading and unloading zone space was difficult to get to and were basically on a very busy street, which you had to cross to park. Also, each time you needed to access the vehicle you had to get the desk to open the gate from across the street.

We stayed at Casa Roland overnight flying in late at night (2:30am). The main door was closed but upon being able to call the hotel, the receptionist was prompt in letting us in at the hotel. The decor of the hotel is ultra unique and is definitely a Commemoration to the Costa Rican history and culture. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel and it's vicinity to the airport was very much appreciated.
