This property was not what we expected. If you like to walk the beach, this is NOT the place. It has a very tiny beach area. This property has a picture of a beach on Expedia that is NOT the beach at this property. It’s very misleading. Their beach is maybe 75 yards long. They do have a cove to swim in, and that was fine. The grounds were kept nicely. The hotel itself has obviously had a lot of damage from hurricanes. I know this is going to happen. When we walked into our room, it was not a normal Embassy Suites room. It felt dirty. The couch and chair and carpet all had stains. Lots of wear and tear in the kitchen table and chairs as well. It just felt like no matter how many times they cleaned it, it wasn’t going to look any better. Most of the employees were super friendly. The people that work at the pool bar could definitely have better people skills. They act like they hate their job and dread talking to you. They weren’t even busy. I would stand there and they had no one else to help. They would just talk amongst themselves, but clearly see me. Then eventually someone would make their way over. I was always very nice and always tipped. I get everyone has a bad day, but they had a bad week. Billy that does the pool is amazing!! Super friendly and gave us lots of suggestions of local things to go do and we really enjoyed doing what he suggested. The property is also shared by time share condos. So they all coincide and share the pool, beach, etc. That didn't bother us.

The room was very comfortable. The Internet worked very well. I got my car quick and easily the front desk. I’m checking in with William to check out. They were always happy and helpful. I love the breakfast that was included every morning George was the best.

It was a lovely area but a little bit constraint on food choices. The bar and grill by the pool has the best food but it closes too early. The staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast at the resort was average. I would recommend a short stay, no more than 3-5 days.

Great location and fun resort. The drink tickets for the evening bar was a huge bonus. We waited until the last night of our 7 night trip to dine at the restaurant and it was so disappointing. My husbands hamburger looked delicious however the meat was dry. The same with the chicken breast on mine and my daughters salad. The morning buffet was nice. Just got a little boring after 7 days of eating. We went to other places the last few days. Staff was nice and pool area was a lot of fun. For the most part it was a great experience and we loved Puerto Rico.

The Embassy Suites Dorado can do a lot better. The lobby and surrounding area are nice. The rooms, however, need major renovations. The rooms are outdated, from the carpets to the sofa, which need replacement. We found a small roach in our room, the door locks to the bathroom did not work, and the vents were all dusty. They were nice enough to move us to a similar room in the floor above us. Service was ok. The addition of happy hour and weekend music is nice. The pool area is nice but needs to be cleaned more often, since at times the water looked muddied and had a lot of twigs, mulch, hair, etc. The beach unfortunately had an algae invasion that kept us from visiting it.

The hotel was nice - a little run down but was good for what it was. It's not near anything so you have to take expensive Ubers/ taxis everywhere. Highly recommend renting a car if you stay here. The service was not great. We weren't called to check in despite giving our phone number twice. One day the electricity went out for 3 hours - no generator, meaning we couldn't wash our hands, use the toilets - our food in the fridge nearly spoiled. We weren't given any kind of acknowledgement or apology at all. Only a piece of paper in our room saying they wouldn't vaccuum due to the power outage. Our room was only cleaned a few times when we were there and we had to ask. Otherwise it was cleaned around 5:30pm when we were already back and looking forward to clean towels and clean room, which there wasn't. Also, the room says it sleeps 4, but the pull out couch only fits one person and they don't supply extra cots so my daughter had to sleep in the king bed with us. Breakfast was OK. All in all it was fine but I won't be returning next time I'm in PR!

Great hotel, excellent view. Ordered meals (not tapas) at spanish restaurant, late Friday , after tour if island, and it took well over an hour for food to be served. Hotel room was comfy, but had no personality. Really enjoyed the happy hour at the hotel. Would have liked to see more breakfast options. Overall, a nice, out of the way to stay with a very nice lobby, pool, staff, and beach access.
