Great Pool and FOH lobby but...
FOH​ & the Pool area was ​clean and very attractive. Upon arrival, the night host was very nice, but day service lacked friendliness. Our room was very simple, toiletry essentials were limited. Beds are a bit hard ​and outdoor ​noise, especially early morning ​with drilling next to our room​ makes it hard to sleep. I paid extra​ fees to keep our luggage in the room until 3pm​. Check out is sharp at 11am. Hotel lacks a safe area to store your bags, and it was suggested I leave them in a corner that was not well ventilated and in view. FOH will not store them for you nor be responsible- this was uncomfortable since we had an evening flight. Hotel serves a purpose for 1 night only. Don't expect luxury. Coffee w/powder cream was lame but available. Front of the property was blocked by ​local car rental company in association that parked their Big SUVs in front of the entrance blocking any available space that guests could use to comfortably unload belongings and check-in. There's No loading/unloading zone, and no carts or personnel to assist you. Car rental company should not have parking privileges in front of entrance as this area should be left free for guests access and mobility making check-in uncomfortable to handle all as their Parking is located a street over- across back of property- not at view, so you can't leave belongings safe as there is no guard in attendance. We loved their cat pet -Was OK for 1 night stay w/airport proximity. Room Cleaning lady was very nice.

My son and i were very happy with our stay it was his first time in Puerto Rico and I've been there more then once but this was my first stay at villa del sol , love ❤️ it the women at the desk were very helpful and friendly... we shall return soon

Good location in Isla Verde, but nothing else
I stayed for 2 nights for a week long vacation in PR. Selected the hotel for its location --proximity to both the beach and the airport (had a late flight), and room appearance based on the pictures. However, the reality is that the property is quite run down, and rooms dont look at all like the pictures. Little less than a budget hotel, with just the basics: clean bedding, AC and hot water. Other than that, it's old carpets, old decor and furniture, no coffee maker, weak wifi kept disconnecting every 10 seconds, dehumidifiers in the hallway... and old-fashion key to the door (only 1, and I was traveling with a friend). Would have not booked if I had known what the hotel was really like. I prefer paying a bit more and getting a room where I am actually comfortable.

Very nice reception staff. The place is kept clean and comfortable. The pool was good. The only recommendation I would give is for cleaning staff to be a little quiet in the morning because people are sleeping. I would definitely stay there the next time I go to PR.

The exterior of the building is very architecturally interesting in Spanish. The lobby area, which is open to the lovely pool with waterfall, was nice and clean. The staff were always helpful and welcoming. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby and a bar which also sold snacks and frozen foods which could be microwaved. The room was very clean and basic. The mattresses were not the most comfortable but we slept fairly well. There was a fridge in the room and I believe there may have been a microwave as well. I would definitely stay here again if I were to return.
