First of all, the check-in process was terrible : the man that checked me in insisted that I needed to pay for the hotel room (I told him that I already paid through hotels.com months ago when I booked for the room) , but he kept saying at least 3 times that I hadn't made the payment. I asked him to check my booking and he immediately said "I already did & you haven't paid". Finally the manager checked my booking and sure enough it showed that I already made a full payment on my stay. The hotel grounds are beautiful, with colonial architecture & lush trees and plants everywhere. Unfortunately, the room and bathroom do not look good as the general area of the hotel - the mattress is hard and concaved, the floor is dusty, the wall has stains, the bathroom is not very clean. Breakfast was adequate, it is buffet style with assortments of hot & cold foods. The location is away from the city center, but Uber is plentiful. I would not stay here again if I was ever in Asuncion again.
